oh my goodness
did you make that it looks really good
if you got runner up or won would you have gotten your badge yet?
Hehehe yeah, thanks!! : D
GG everyone! This was super cool lol. Like, I said it before, there were SO MANY good entries in this jam and it kinda just blew my mind. I gotta say the top 2 were just INSANE, like, to think something that detailed was built in makecode arcade is just baffling… Rhythm code, i must say, kudos to @InvalidProject, is an absolutely stunning game, one of my favourites because of my geometry dash bias! Gameplay was stellar, and art was straight up PEAK
ramune is so good
thx I made quest for the lost water bucket I’m eventually gonna make a sequel!
who got the honorable mentions
when are the scores being shown?
Do the second-place winners have forum accounts.
I completely agree… The Forest Campfire was absolutely beautiful! My only objection was that the quests were slightly repetitive. But I do think that The Picnic Basket, Ripple Nursery and The Joy of Pixels are up there too!
I’m so happy to win 1st in the Cozy Game Jam! I didn’t expect my game to even win honorable mentions, but I’m so glad and happy to get top! I’m so flabbergasted by all the other games as well! The art and styles were absolutely captivating :D.
@InvalidProject has first place with his rythm game!!! Congratulations!!!
I loved your pop-it game though! The audio especially!
I forgot to post my game on the forums topic so here’s the link!
there are multiple endings and you use b to talk to other people.
what place did mines get?
Wait I just realized that I got honorable mention! When do we get the badges for that.
thank you! Also, good job @InvalidProject!
I have the same question. (about my place)
alright, i have distributed badges to all of the winners and honorees whose forum accounts i know! if i missed you, please @ me!
once again, congrats to our winners:
Rhythm Code! by @InvalidProject features not just one, but THREE whole rhythm games to test your timing skills! Our judges loved the artwork, music, and rating system of this submission. Plus, rumor has it that each of these games is based on a different member of the MakeCode forums… Make sure you check out this forum post for more detailed instructions on how to play each of the games!
The Forest Campfire by @Freastt and Toast is a delightful game where you complete quests to help out a goofy cast of characters on a camping trip. Our judges were absolutely floored by the character art in this game and how polished all of the dialog looked. Not only that, but the writing left us grinning like maniacs through the whole thing! If you like this game, make sure to check out another of Freast’s games: One Night At Scary Gary’s (which is decidedly less cozy but is mentioned in an easter egg of this game).
Note from Richard: “Games that feature me as a character receive no preferential treatment in game jam judging but also it doesn’t hurt either.”
The Joy of Pixels by @Jedi is a painting sandbox game where you can create and save artworks made out of pixels! The attention to detail in this game is what impressed our judges the most; you can press the menu button to cycle through multiple modes where you can control things like your brush size, speed, and color as well as how zoomed in the canvas is. Plus, the setting is the very definition of coziness!
