I’m making a minecraft-type game that focuses on building a lot, and it will probably be my BEST and most complicated game yet. I already have a wire system done which is going to be like redstone! It will probably have its own topic because it is BIG and will have a LOT of updates over time.
you know what that means
@richard the link to this project isn’t working anymore, it says the project was removed.
Is this just me or is something wrong?
@CopySprite that means it got flagged by microsoft’s content review service. make sure there isn’t any curse words or anything that could be taken wrong and try sharing again
That’s what I thought it was but I’m pretty sure I don’t have any curse words.
Would “Hitbox” be taken wrong?
Is there a list of what causes it?
Is there a tool that can tell you where the problem is? I imported the link and literally nothing looks wrong, besides maybe the names of some creatures like “korok” and “bokoblin”? Nothing bad comes up when searching those names. Does this content filter also check for copyright?
unfortunately i don’t know of any tool that lets us know why content gets flagged (though i really wish there was). this service is kind of just a black box we are required to send user projects into and it can be a little finicky sometimes. afaik it doesn’t check copyright or anything of that sort.
i also just looked through the code and it seems perfectly fine to me, so no idea sadly. @jwunderl any idea what we could look at? in the meantime, @CopySprite, you can share the PNG of the game in this thread
Not just you! “This page is missing” “Project removed”
If the content filter detected something bad, like a bad word, it may be preventing the project from loading. I guess check the project for bad words and such?
Yeah I played it I didn’t see any curse words that’s unfair
If the issue gets fixed, the link will start working again, right? I’m gonna start deleting stuff until the link works.
okay, but you should know that there is a delay between creating the link and when it gets taken down
Yeah, it’s about 5 seconds though so it’s not too long of a wait. So far I’ve removed all instances of “korok”, including in the asset names, and I’ve removed some other character and asset names. I also removed all the block and JavaScript code and… still blocked.
Up- jump
Down- crouch
Pretty self-explanatory from there
Ok let’s see if this link works:
I literally deleted all the code and then started deleting assets. I just kept deleting until the link worked, and then I slowly added assets back until it stopped working again. Turns out the main title page was the issue. I suspect that scribbling over it stopped the issue for a very dumb reason: Somewhere in image file, the image data must somehow spell a bad word. Yup, like I said, probably a very dumb issue, but given that image data looks like this:
I wouldn’t be surprised if somewhere in there is a bad word in one language or another that is causing the issue. And yes, that would mean that a certain combination of pixels in an image could flag your project as inappropriate, which is both very funny and very much not funny if it happens to you!
The link works now.
This is going to be a huge project by the way.
Nice workaround by splitting up the image! I wouldn’t have thought of doing that!
