I was wondering can I make a retro style console and make the games work but can I sell the console and games online or in person and I already know that I would have to probably draw every thing myself and no copyright stuff in the games also as a plus could I add a copyright to the games the last thing the copyright was just a thought but I still would like to know

Sure. Just don’t publish your games here because they’d become open source. Also, this is a cool idea and if you are serious about pursuing it I’d love to help if you need help.

You know you can edit any game on makecode? It is a bit hard to sell it, but if you find a way good on you.

It’s just that if you create something that nobody can access without paying you then you can pretty much copyright and sell it as long as you don’t use copyrighted content. Also you don’t actually have to pay for copyrights unless you are really worried about your game concept getting stolen. I’m super excited to see this console have you started working on it?

could you pls explain that a little more simple pls I understood a little of it and about the copyright I’m wondering if I can do that with a make code game and I got kinda worried because of whatbotWarrior said and that’s why I what to know if I would have to add copyright also I haven’t started working on it because of all this I first want to figure out all this so that way if I where to make it and I cant sell it and all that stuff it would be kinda a waste

but just based on what i told you can i like take this for example “my Game” can i sell my Game to this one person online and one to this person in person as physical copies and would I have to add copyright to my Game and could I do that

Yeah probably, for absolute certainty I’d contact a lawyer or if you don’t want to do that just confirm with ChatGPT because I’m pretty sure it passed the Bar exam.
