Dropkick!

babe, wake up, brainstorm studios posted something that wasn’t hoplings related

this is the groundwork for DROPKICK!, a high speed momentum-based platformer (emphasis on based) where your main weapon is your own two feet. dropkick, bounce off walls and enjoy the stellar impact frames! THIS IS A TINY TEST LEVEL WITH NOTHING IN IT, IT’S PURELY FOR TESTING DYLAN’S MOVEMENT. (mc’s name is dylan by the way.)

The player character controls great! I hope to see this being expanded upon, but i do wish there was a way to toggle the flash upon hitting a wall.

Incredible! I LOVE IT!!!

as a speedrunner, i would recommend the slide to add velocity instead of setting it to make some movement techniques possible
the reason movement based games like ultrakill are so popular is because there is some insane unintended tech that takes time to learn

Oh and you should have a mechanic that can be exploited to move even faster vertically like if you are in the area and you press down arrows it bounces you up and you move faster are you can toss yourself over a ledge!

“Dylan” sounds like a lab experiment

Control (video game) - Wikipedia

A game where the protagonist’s brother, named Dylan, is a lab experiment, basically.

no way

there is no actual way

the plot of my game is that dylan got cybernetic jet boots after losing his feet, but the people who made them just wanted to experiment on him so he has to escape

THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU GUESSED THE PLOT OF THE GAME EXACTLY

HOLY COW-

Hold up that’s the plot
That’s…the whole plot
huh
I mean, why is he an experiment? Are the scientists evil or do they have good intentions? Why does Dylan want to escape? Is Dylan actually the bad guy? There is so much you could do with that brief description please tell me that’s not the entire plot.
