Geometry Dash Final : Showing the power of Microsoft Makecode arcade!

All the “Geometry Dashes” are not good replicas of the real thing we need a real version that can truly show the power of make code arcade the one most common thing you will get when you search Scratch is Geometry Dash. I want this talented community to be shown to the whole world but first we need a good representation of our community. Here is a good example made by me of what the games should be like it’s a little buggy but every day I try to improve it https://arcade.makecode.com/S84325-48531-00171-51558. Here’s a list of all the flaws of the past GDs.
1: bad physics
2: bad or no hitboxes
3: too little or no game modes
4: bad gameplay and just game design

Game crashes while the game is “loading”

I know that happens I’m currently fixing the issue.

does anyone know how to make moving wall in makecode arcade?

I love the flappy bird controls of the UFO! Pro tip: try adding to the player velocity instead of setting it

The Game is getting a update coming Sunday the Back round and graphics update will add more blocks and levels adding a third level and maybe some music  !Look Out

Welcome to the forum @santiho! There are a FEW good Geometry Dash games here on the forum, I would recommend you try them!

Dualist By @PixelDoodle (Me lol) (This game has a SAVE DATA LEVEL EDITOR & AN ICON MAKER)

Roller By @AbstractDesigner (Stunning Visuals for Makecode standards)

Rhombus Rush (By like HALF THE COMMUNITY lol) (Made for a MINI game jam)

That’s because the game says on a press jump player, but when the screen is loading, the player has not been created yet.

I used to make a bunch of tilemap, and each one was slightly different, and if you put too much, the game might not work. I don’t know what, but it happened with mine.

i have made one, it’s pretty old though. It’s not that bad:

I think I know how to do hitbox. Not sure though. Never used it before…

yes I am very aware of these games and have tried all of these some better than mine some worse but be I had a less aggressive response before I made this but accidently deleted it and didn’t have the time to rewrite it so I came up with this response. I have played your game which is really good and I even mentioned it in my old response but Rhombus Rush really disappointed me you say half the community built this!? Two short levels that are really unbalanced, it has great graphics but not even that game has any indicators. I made my game alone in SCHOOL computer class with the spare time I had. It hurts to be mean to the one community I look up to but really can one game just get all the physics right but also not add a gimmick to make people think its a original game?

Okay. Rhombus Rush was made in a short amount of time compared to other games, you can’t expect it to be perfect. Secondly you’re not the only one who makes games on their school computers. Tons of makecoders make games on their school computers. When I first started out, I only coded on my school computer, which is just the same as any other computer. Thirdly it’s Richard’s game. It’s not that he can’t make an original gimmick, he’s just adding what he wants because it is his game. Finally you’re saying you had a less aggressive response before and then made a more aggressive response since you didn’t have time? Wouldn’t you want to wait so until you have time do you don’t come off as rude or mean?

Overall i think your game has potential if you just worked on it a little more, just please don’t criticize these other games when yours isn’t even finished yet.

Thanks for reading!

@santiho No no, i mean WE MADE A BUNCH OF LEVELS. The @MakeCode team made the base game and WE made like 20 for the game

You can find all the levels here: [Announcement] MakeCode Arcade Mini Game Jam #18 - Level Design Jam Redux - #150 by Gideon_loves_cats
(Version by @Gideon_loves_cats)

Majority of the people here do that. I sure as hell used to :upside_down_face:

(Fun Fact: I made Dualist’s ENTIRE FREAKING LEVEL EDITOR ON MY PHONE)

UPDATE BIG PROGRESS ON GRAPHICS
I want my game to be different than the rest because @PixelDoodle keeps showing me games better than mine so 3D blocks are now a thing and now toggle triggers if you touch the block it either activates or deactivates a wall A blocks removes wall B blocks creates walls.

we should mod rhombus rush; it has a good engine, just unbalanced levels!

Yes I’m gonna admit I was mean but I was also mad because I looked up to the community for a very long time and expect at least some game that had the physics correct and just have a plain geometry dash with good physics there is one the does a great job but got the hitboxes wrong. I don’t wanna be mean but any game that is not aiming to be a Collab and has Geometry Dash as its official name is doomed to have at least one thing wrong its always three outcomes. 1 you have great graphics but inaccurate physics
2 you have great physics but bad graphics
3 you have great physics and graphics but your game has only one game mode.
My game is currently in umber two but with the revamped graphics I just finished making it could be heading for something great if I knew how to make a good menu.
Most of the projects here are just projects made for fun, some are for passion. All I’m looking for is someone that plays GD daily and wants to see this community rise to be as noticable as scratch.

that’s great @PixelDoodle but we need you to create more for Cybershift because the CyberShift fan base is restless I think about 300 more levels will do for now :smiling_imp:
