Help: Follow-up on Community Slack Request for ACEBOTT MakeCode Extension – Ticket #101042

Hello MakeCode community,

I’m the maintainer of the ACEBOTT MakeCode extension, and I’m looking for some guidance regarding our request to join the micro Community Slack.

We submitted ticket #101042 so that our development team could communicate with the relevant community or technical team about extension approval, technical questions, and ongoing maintenance. The request has been marked as “Being Processed” for approximately 13 days, but we have not received a further update.

GitHub repository:

Could anyone from the MakeCode or micro team please advise:

  1. Whether this is the correct channel for following up;
  2. Whether any additional information is required from us;
  3. Who we should contact regarding extension review and Community Slack access.

We understand that reviews may take time and would appreciate any guidance on the appropriate next step.

Thank you!

I’m not from the MakeCode team, but some of my experiences as an extension developer:

  • I’m not sure the Slack community is used any more. I haven’t seen any recent messages. It looks like it’s on the free Slack plan and nearly all messages are now older than 90 days and no longer visible.

  • This forum is helpful for some general ideas and support for extension development.

  • Issues on the GitHub repo can also be useful. https://github.com/microsoft/pxt-microbit

  • I think the best way to get some technical feedback on extensions is via the Foundation’s ticket system: https://support.microbit.org/support/tickets/new or by submitting the extension for approval here (Martin gives thorough feedback!)
