I just realized there is a unit of measurement that I died in 5.39 × 10⁻⁴⁴ seconds.
how many stages are there in the attuned difficulty?
NOOOOOO my game crashed when I was about to beat the attuned false knight.
I beat the attuned false knight!!!
I also beat the ascended false knight (I’m not good at hollow knight so this is huge for me)
I failed radiant because of contact DMG I sold lol
I just searched it up and oh. ![]()
False Knight, as I said, doesn’t actually gain any attacks–I suppose it might feel that way in-game? But there isn’t any attacks added or shown in later phases! I totally agree with the chaining. From what I saw, that’s mostly chance since the code for this I think was all like randomized. Hope this helps! ![]()
I low key forgot to mention that there is a secret wall to the left of the player and it has some poorly drawn liveblood (aka extra hp) for anyone who needs it.
Yes, honestly, with me spending so much time spent in Hollow Knight (and Silksong), I really do agree with you on some of these stuff. But like what @InvalidProject said too, I don’t completely agree with you on some stuff. Though you’re points are completely fair in their ways. I think that one of the first flaws I saw (one that you actually didn’t point out), is that it took me a little while to figure out how to actually choose the difficulty of fight in the Godhome area. I think that @CyanBelt , could fix the controls so that it acutally uses regular keyboard binding but also supports mobile binding (up, down, left right, A, B, etc.). I do agree with you on pretty much everything you pointed out.
I really do feel like that the False Knight pretty much needs to be doubled it’s original size and that the False Knight doesn’t just stand there and endlessly whack at the ground. When I fight False Knight in the Godhome arena, False Knight’s ai seems to whack honestly faster and then proceeds to jump and do other moves.
I also agree that the background is really cluttered and should be more darker. It just seems like the fight isn’t that important, there’s no gloomy atmosphere, and it’s annoying to fight the boss while having such a bright, cluttered, bg, especially in the harder variant.
Also, I know some people don’t know or are confused about the “battle cry”, but I’m pretty sure I know what you mean. Isn’t the battle cry at the start of the fight before you actually can fight the boss? (Correct me if I’m wrong) Also, yes, there really is no clear transition between phases. And I’m also sure that after a couple hits, the False Knight is supposed to be stunned for a little exposing it’s head.
One other thing is that the collision logic is a clunky and I feel like I get hit for no reason at times. I also feel like that once the slam attack is over, I’m pretty sure the mace is not supposed to have a hitbox window for you to get hit. (unless this is what the actual fight is supposed to be like; I can’t really remember.) And once you die, you can move around for a little bit. (something you can fix @CyanBelt)
Also, has anyone defeated Failed Champion? I can’t seem to defeat him. (I’m probably just bad and better at the actual game).
Either ways, congrats @CyanBelt for finishing the game! Really neat game, I hope you add more bosses and maybe team up with @engineer703 soon!
I’m pretty sure the battle cry is before the battle starts and is when the bosses scream before starting the fight.
