Hello! I am currently working on my game, and when trying to move on to the next level, the parallax sprites from the previous levels persist. Is there any way to destroy or set these sprites to invisible?
Can you share your code? There is probably a way to delete them all using that “delete all sprites of kind” block.
Here we go! https://arcade.makecode.com/S24094-04313-38272-75343
The coding is very much a work in progress, but it’s Z to shoot, and to move on to the next level, you have to destroy the piles of tomatoes. There you’ll see that for some reason, the tomatoes that were parallaxed in the background from the first level persist into the second level. Also, on a side note, the death sequence is for some reason very jittery, and I’m unsure what to do about it… If you or anyone could take a look, that would mean the world to me. Thanks again!
This game is hilarious! It made me laugh many times! To “destroy” those parallax things, you can just set them to be an empty image like this:
Or you can get a bit fancy and use the “undefined” block from the Sprite Utils tab to actually remove them, which might prevent some lag:
Just make sure your “Undefined” variable is not “undefined” with the lowercase “u” or it will cause an error.
CHUD it just made me laugh
This game is peak, you should make a topic specifically for it
