finally after all of these years I kind of completed it?
ok look this more like a demo before the actuall full thing comes out so there will be some bugs but this game it is MASSIVE expanding through 6 zones you must defeat the robots known as the green coats to defeat the evil rhonoian empire which colonized the place you live in and is threatening the state which you live with a 100% income tax! you must blast slash through the zones until to free each state from the green coats in area and successfully gain indepence, or what ever.
the plot isn’t actually finished yet and there hell of a lot more I wanted to add but had to cut out because of time constraints and having to split the game in two and the second (aka final release) will be the full version of hyper the dragon. but besides that enjoy these pretty looking gifs over here!
also I’m required to note there’s slight “ - Profanity!” in some of the text in the game or what ever but besides that enjoy!
also again I plan on finally adding in bosses for the actual final release, some of you might wonder why does the game end randomly at that one red part in the game? that’s because I was on time crunch and I didn’t have any bosses comed up yet so probably expect another update in like 5 months because this game has been absolute hell to make and debug and somehow get this working on makecode so I appreate most of the critiscm and support for yall who kept playing this game all the way back from 2022!
9/10 game would play again, outside of some bugs and minor things this is a great game for makecode arcade standards after a little polishing I think it would be peak.
your game should be the stranded for makecode games so much content and its very creative great job @goldtopaz !
ok so for this game kinda accidently had the game become WAY bigger than I expected and I think I might have and the progress working on it was surprisingly actually kinda quick so here this cool tilemap of the level I plan on adding for a act 3 in the temple level
so you might be curious to why is this called “the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” this was because while I was working on hyper the dragon from the 2023 period to now, to not get bored making this game I constantly kept watching extremely long documentary videos in the background mostly talking about American history and kept naming random variables to names like “Texas”, “Mississippi”, “Oregon”, or “south Carolina” so I can keep track of what the variables do so I just chucked in the “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” as a name for one of the tile maps because it looked like to me it stretched from the “east coast to the west like manifest destiny” ok besides that catch yall later
it has been 1 month since I said anything related to this game and that was because I was aggressivley adding in 3rd acts to all of the level types in the game and bosses, this is of course very very diffcult so I appreate the support you guys gave me on this kind of release and the amount of views it cranked up real quickly so besides that, heres some cool pictures from the games tilemap
greeting citizens! I recently I’m finally gonna be able to finish the full game (finally) and I’m trying to come up with a theme level 6 act 3 and some of the levels of course based off of MERICA locations with such patriotic places like yellow stone national park and St. Augustine Florida. But I will let you the people choose who to make the next level!
Basically just reply with what place in the MERICA you want it to be like places like new Orleans, Seattle, or Portland if your a weirdo but besides that I guess happy election day!
I know I have been a little quiet for a few weeks but hey I guess I’m still here and I plan on making a really huge new drop for this game tripling the games size and after all of these years around 2025 hyper the dragon will finally be finished!

I think your computer might be a bit happier if you get rid of some of those grey, unused blocks… like the many, many floating variables and empty For loops. I get keeping the art, but some of this has got to go… this unused art is pretty good though… and scrolling through the assets is a mind boggling display of the effort that has gone into this one game… wow…
