10 minutes to edit a post?
That is way too little time,
maybe up it to 1 hour or 1 day?
There is a way to work around this constraint.
If you have a post that you know you want to edit later (e.g., you are posting about a project that you’re not ready to release, but you want to get some of your thoughts together), then just say so at the beginning or at the end of the post. Do something like this:
Moderators: Draft. Please do not approve.
As long as a moderator keeps your post in the queue, then you should be able edit the post to your heart’s content. The 10-minute timer should not start until a moderator has approved your post.
Edited posts are difficult to moderate, which is why the editing window is kept short. Is there a specific reason why you would like more than ten minutes after your post has been moderated and approved to edit it?
Also, if I am misspeaking and you are finding otherwise (like you can’t edit your posts even while they’re in the moderation queue), then please let us know.
THIS IS SO USEFUL! The number of posts I’ve wanted to start working on, but feared it getting approved early… this is so helpful! Thanks so much!
