So not so long ago @richard released the Overworld extension basically allowing users to create connections between tile maps and a bunch more possibilities. All that aside the main thing is the ability to create games similar to the classic Legend of Zelda games, where you go from sceen to screen via a system of layed out levels. And so i did that. This won’t be the full game nor is this version that i’m showing here as i speak the final version. More updates in the future!

This game and it’s code were created by me except for already created graphics from the original game. Please if you have any respect for me as a creator don’t steal my code without credit, i’ll know.
I didn’t actually make the extension, I just wanted to show off it’s potential. @richard created the overworld extension. The original topic was here: Arcade-overworld extension
In order to find it in the search bar you’ll have to copy the github link into the bar. Then once you enter it in it should come up. Let me know if there’s any issues. This is the link but it’s also in the topic itself. Thank you for your interests in this project!
There’s alot of extensions that aren’t specifically available in the search bar. I suggest using Awesome Arcade if you want to find more in the future. The same way as this one, just copy the link given into the search bar then it should show up.
You also probably just find more that aren’t listed on either by searching ‘extension’ here on the Forums but it’s just a quicker and easier alternative
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone for the overwhelmingly positive response to this game. 100 views and 17 likes in 2 days is super insane. As for future updates for this project look forward to these fixes and additions (Possibly in Updates 1-2):
So yeah, expect updates to continue rolling out in the future. As for me, I and the rest of Saturn Team still have many more projects to update and announce this year so if you’re interested Stay Tuned
After awhile of development the second update for the Links Awakening tech-demo is ready to be rolled out. Expect a release date VERY soon! For now, enjoy this sneak peak.
After like, a month? Yeah pretty much… The second update for the Links Awakening game has been finished and is ready for testing. There are still some more major glitches that exist within the game that will need more time to be sorted out as the game continues to be updated. I’m very sure it will be finished soon.
I took a short hiatus with this project but now I’m once again adding new stuff. I’m currently working on making the intro and first few segments of the game. But the next thing for me to add at the moment is the fully implemented sword and shield. More news soon!
However, I am curious about something. Although there’s no way i’m making to full game i’m curious if yall would be interested in adding more later segments into the game after Update 3? If not i still have plans to use this Zelda game framework on a future project (another Zelda remake but of a more modern game (you might be able to guess it).
Turns out remakes are more accurate when you actually adapt what was in the original, who would’ve thought :P-
Also also, looks like I’ll be continuing after Update 3 :D. I’ll be thinking about what Update 4 or possible further demos should include.
Anyways a little bit of an update on the project, I’ve been chnaging stuff that i (for some odd reason i cant even recall) decided to recreate with the wrong colors. Strange isn’t it. Anyways its all coming along well despite my intentional recent deletion of hundreds of current build projects. Thats about it, see ya later.
