Click the > to the left of where you find blocks.

If you’ve collapsed the simulator panel on the left, then there should be a control on that side of the screen to make it appear again. Screenshot below.
If you’re not seeing that, then feel free to include a screenshot of your screen so that we can all see what you’re seeing.
Also, going back to the MakeCode Arcade home page and then opening your project again should reset the simulator panel to make it visible again.

Welcome to the forums @Meg! To make the console appear again, try reloading your page or exiting Makecode and going back in.
Hey Meg!! Welcome to the Makecode forum! If you are on a computer, you may have clicked the button that hides the console. There should be a grey-ish button on the left of your screen with a small arrow like thing. Clicking it should bring out the console. If you are on a phone, then there should be some options on the bottom right of your screen. If I remember correctly I think there is a small play button which should bring up the console. If you have any trouble, try sending a screenshot (try not to include any identifying information in it) and maybe someone will have a solution!
