First order of business is the fact that @redSprite has not used this intellectual property in a long time. I believe the standard is 10 years for patents, so let’s not go with that number (as obviously it wouldn’t be in our favor) and make up a number… umm… how about we’ll go with 3 months as the limit for holding onto old names.

The precedent for this is @CopySprite’s recent change to “Astral” and back again, where it was pretty clear that he held onto the name “copySprite” and it would be very much unjustified for someone to scoop up said name in that time. (Said precedent being upheld by the mods when they subsequently deleted a joke alt account that popped up in that time)
And so in conclusion, we can state that any form of copyright or intellectual property @redSprite held in regards to this username has most certainly lapsed by now, given that it has been well over the magic 3 month number that I just made up.
