Is this Robotic kit user friendly?
Is it cost effective?

What is the price?
Can I get a discount on a bulk price?
Where can I order it online?
Is it a good one for grade 1 to grade 8?
Is there any comparison made?
These are the robots I have or will be testing and comparing.
The two that stand out in terms of using them in a high school setting and having advanced features are Cutebot Pro and Maqueen Plus V2. A third which is still in the box is the Maqueen Plus V3 and that one may be too much, too expensive, with too many built in functions to use for education. I don’t know yet.
At the back on either side are animatronic robots I am experimenting with. They are made of cardboard and could possibly be assembled by children. Maybe. I don’t know about those yet.
Hi. This may be what you are asking for: https://wiki.dfrobot.com/micro_Maqueen_for_micro_bit_SKU_ROB0148-EN
Also, check out Don’s YouTube channel about Maqueen projects (keep in mind that there are several versions of the maqueen rover) https://www.youtube.com/@jdonwells/videos
Also, we have several videos of maqueen on our channel: MakeCode and Hardware, on YouTube. I try to include code links for the MakeCode programming in the description of each video. Yes, there are comparison bot cars made for use with BBC Micro:bit. Some are more expandible. The Maqueen comes pretty much ready to use; some other kits, like Yahboom based on an expansion board must be assembled but then can be reassembled into different interesting configurations. I work with kids the ages that you are talking about. Because BBC Micro:bit has Bluetooth availability, we can use an app on mobile device to control it: BST M_Bit app which is free. This allows your kids to control the bot without a second Micro:bit so no using ‘radio’ transmission nor using IR like for a TV or radio remote where you have to determine which signal is sent from the IR remote…but that is also educational if you want to pursue teaching about it. All this is shown on our YouTube channel along with line tracking with sensors. And Don discusses use cases. For the price I think basic Maqueen is a good start for kids of the age that you are talking about.
