Hi everyone, I’m new to making games & have finished my first one, it’s a very simple tank themed arena/ maze shooter. I figured I’d share it on here in case anyone was interested in playing it/ downloading it (plus it will enable me to draw a line under it and move on to the next thing). Any feedback or ideas would be gratefully received. I’m also hoping I’ve put this in the right place, I’ve never posted on a forum before so am not really sure of the correct procedure/ etiquette!

Just noticed/ fixed a small bug where the countdown would reset if you pressed fire during the countdown sequence.

They’re awesome! At some point I’ll probably revisit this project and have a go at making something a bit different that breaks outside of the confines of the single screen format. I’d initially tried to make it fairly light so it’d fit onto the kitronik arcade handheld device I picked up, but after adding in a splash screen and instruction page I ended up way over the rom limit for that anyway so there’s no reason to keep it small anymore. Maybe something like Berzerk where leaving the map top/bottom/left/right moves you to another randomly generated map. I’d probably need to rethink the enemy ‘AI’ as the maze format helped to control the flow of enemies and stop them clustering all in one spot (although they still start to form an orderly queue after a while) - would be fun to have another objective like enemies keep spawning until you discover and destroy the ‘base’ on each level. Oh wow, I love that mechanic, it’s brilliant! I’ve squeezed in a little number HUD on the right hand side of the ammo bar so you can keep track of how many mines you have!
