Published a Story & Gave MakeCode Arcade a Shoutout!

Hey everyone!

So somethin kinda crazy happened, one of my stories got officially published under the alias ChimbroDaPro, and I made sure to give MakeCode Arcade a big shoutout!

Also my hospital school, you know the same one I worked with on that Sickle Cell game, has been super supportive, and it looks like they’re genuinely like super interested. From what I can tell, I’m actually really popular in the hospital school community! That’s huge because it means more sick children could potentially get to use MakeCode Arcade, which honestly warms my heart.

I was even at a hospital school conference at a massive hotel, and just from this one publication, there’s a real chance that MakeCode Arcade could reach a bunch of new users. Maybe. It’s wild to think about!

Anyway, here’s the publication, it goes live on the 23/02/26 @ 2pm GMT. The literary magazine is Rat Bag Literary, a magazine that accepts weird and wacky reads (basically me lol). Subscribe to them if you like that kinda stuff. If you want to know about the short story itself, it’s a drabble (exactly 100 words). Here’s the link:

@ChimbroDaPro that’s great! I’m glad that your dream could come true. I will make a review of the story, but I have to access it through my phone, so it might be a bit. Keep up the good work!

Oh well its not my college…

I guess I haven’t really explained exactly what a hospital school is to be fair… it’s made for children (like, CHILDREN and TEENAGERS, 1 years old to maybe like, 17 or 18?). Basically, when kids get sick for super long periods of time (me sometimes) they miss out on a whole lot of school, and it’s basically torture having a really bad illness AND still having to catch up… so what they do is they have like a small, much friendlier little school inside the hospital, not too intense so that your not under any pressure, and they basically… teach you, pretty much, while making it quite literally as fun as mathematically possible. It’s actually apparently this newish thing thats like developing over time (which is why i went to that crazy cool congress for it, so I could share how it impacted me with other teachers around the world). And… yeah. That’s about it. They’ve helped me through some really hellish spots, and one day I kinda just… started helping spread the word? Idk, I’ve made several things for them so far, a comic (it has my face so I can’t show), a game, and a few other small stuff here and there.
