Also, like Dani said: “computer likes triangle, computer hate square”
titancode 2 looks crazy
Doesn’t a square have two right triangles?
They probably mean cube
Oh, wait, did you mean to say cube?
ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: “Outsmarting the Outsmarters” ‘use 2 right triangles to blow everyones minds apart’
Update: Modyfying a project made by @TheJaky that may or may not be used as a basis for this game. How do I get wall jumping to work?
a recent optimization to my 3d engine has literally made it 50 times faster! this means that we could use @randomuser 's model!
me, having already started a spreadsheet for a 2D version of the game
Okay @Brohann, hear me out…
Would this gameplay work for the 3D engine?
2D gameplay, you enter levels via paintings; 15 levels, 5 secret ones
run around collecting stars w/ Pizza Tower physics and stuff; 5 stars in each level
Flip Meter allows you to make the game into 3D, gaining new perspective to get certain stars
secret 6th star unlocked by killing Larry Block (the Pillar John replacement from Pizza Tower) and activating Star Rush
go back to start of level to receive the 6th star, then hop in the painting and repeat for the next level
unlock characters by fighting bosses that guard each floor; each character has their own playstyle, allowing them to get stars that the others can’t
secret post characters exist, ya gotta find them
- Sounds plausible… if you reach a certain area of x, y, and z, values you would warp to the next world. (Or maybe if you collide with the painting, but IDK if thats possible)
- IDK Pizza tower but that sounds like it would work, although once again collisions are not confirmed so it might rely on coordinates
- 0_0 I think not
- Yeah, if the other stars work that should work
- Sounds good
- That just sounds like a code thing not a 3d thing so it should work!
- Same as 6!
(This is all my opinion IDRK what brohann will say XD)
good idea! this will definetly work
how big are each level? I’m a bit curious if it would look like a sonic or level or something else
Not sure yet. They would have to be much bigger when in 3D, but in 2D I would probably make them around the size of a Super Mario 63 or Pizza Tower level.
Maybe instead of stars, you could collect medallions or puzzle pieces? (Maybe not puzzle pieces, actually. That’s dangerously close to a copyright lawsuit from rareware)
Ok
You cant get copyrighted on makecode dude its no profit
Maybe we could add sonic elements to the game, like a boost function, a loopdloop?, or even dash panels
IMPORTANT
copyright laws vary greatly take all this with a grain of salt
a possibly incorrect explanation of fair use and non-profits
not exactly
even nonprofit games or anything still can be subject to copyright laws
unless it’s under fair use such as
Criticism
news reporting
scholarships
classrooms materials
Research
etc
If it is a nonprofit it will most likely get overlooked but if the owner of the material cares enough then it becomes a problem
Nintendo
do I think that a small makecode game would get copyrighted?
most likely no
would it be hilarious and petty if it was
definitely
would it be Microsoft’s problem because it happened on their site
not sure
