I want to talk about the walk animation (and how I went crazy over it)
The standard walk animation as of the moment looks like Minecraft Steve walking
BUT at a certain point of development, it was perfect
until…
My computer stopped working with makecode (around when development paused)
and I lost the file to the walk
until now when I found it
this is a placeholder of the character, but I had messaged a screenshot of it to John, and I remembered about it so now the walk will look 10 times better
The realization
I am applying realisT to The Makecode Game awards 2026 for most anticipated
If I get accepted this could bring more support to the game!
But this made me think about what chapter 1 will be like
I’ve realized I’m not going to code the whole game on makecode and I will polish chapters 1 and 2 on the other coding program I would use in the future
So, this means the chapters I will release on here will technically be playtest and not the full game (Specially since the game won’t save into the other and many features i want such as small animated cutscenes won’t appear)

Anyway, I have started interactions for the location after the tutorial
Is the full game gonna be on Game Maker? If so its really funny we both started making an RPG at the same time and they both ended up being ported to game maker.

I am designing small original characters for the overworld section, and I need some design ideas

I need hair color and clothes; the rest I will think of.
did it, i was too lazy to do a full art (sorry) so i just did a small character design, her name is Quinn (named after my friend!) she likes cold things a lot (the single blue pixel on her arm wasnt intentional but it looks like a watch so its cool) if you dont use her ill probably use the character eventually so its cool. (ill make a better art if you need!)
In the future, I will have to stop demos when they get lore-heavy, but I do want to make a teaser game on a platform no one will expect

I just wanna clarify what the game is like
Gameplay-wise, it is like Deltarune and also the early story
BUT the late game story-wise is like Omori (emotionally)

I have sketched some areas out, and the house in the intro is made
I haven’t really thought about the otherworld fully, and I can’t really share without spoiling the game
