RoboVac Game Jam Showcase Awards 2025 (OFFICIAL THREAD)

Finally! It’s here.

This is NOT the information thread, fyi.

Hello! Sorry for the delay, I had a cold. But here we are, the official competition. Somehow, no one has posted their entry submission games for this competition. That ok, the competition must go on! Unfortunately…

It looks like @meatballdev won’t be here to help with the competition. Don’t worry, things will look up somehow! I know it!

Rules

  • Don’t copy code or use other’s code.

  • Keep the games PG

  • Teams are allowed

  • Credit assets that other people made

  • Always must be made in MakeCode arcade

  • Follow the theme!!! We will talk about this soon.

And that’s that. Oh, also here’s the dates:

Start: 2025-11-05T06:00:00Z Typically we start tomorrow (or today if this wasn’t posted yesterday…).

End: 2025-12-31T06:00:00Z This gives ypu approximately almost 84 days to get coding.

Theme

Alright, here’s the theme.

The theme today is racing! We’re looking for games that feature racing and getting to the finish line! Does that mean you have to make a game related to cars and street racing? Nope! Not at all. It can be an olympic race or climbing a mountain. Anything that requires to reach a finish line.

Some ideas are:

  • Climbing a mountain and reaching a peak

  • Racing through a maze in the set time possible

  • A track race

  • And of course, a car racing game

Winners

Because this is a competition, there’s obviously got to be winners. I will review all games posted in this thread.

Also… to switch it up a bit, I will also use ChatGPT to judge your games too. So all in all, me and ChatGPT will judge your game. Only my reviews count. The ChatGPT is for fun.

So, there you have it. Still here? Get coding! The competition waits for no one.

I know I said I was gone but since I don’t have much to do lately I think I’ll participate. I probably won’t be socializing online much though.

hi how do we summit the game when its done and how many people are competing?

I’m sorry? This doesn’t seem like the greatest of ideas. There is a chance I might join but:

I would heavily recommend a judge. If I don’t participate I also might be willing to judge to. But using AI is going to be pretty controversial…

Just submit your games to this thread. This just opened, so we’re currently getting contestants. Also, does using AI to judge my games seem pretty bad?

Like I said, I won’t make the AI votes count. But if whatever you say is true…

Yeah… If you need one, I could do it?

Oh and I realize my post could have been misunderstood by some people. I meant using ChatGPT

Sure, if AI judgment that doesn’t count won’t be a good idea…

But glad you’d like to help!

Contest announcement

Because @Ima.notarobot says using ChatGPT may not be the best of ideas, he claims to help me with judging your games and here’s how it’ll work.

The method is simple. Based on the assets of you game, he will judge by rating points (on a scale of 1 to ten) on each gameplay essential, as shown:

  • Art
  • Music
  • Gameplay overall
  • Level design
  • Controls
  • Bugs
He will then add them all together for each game and that is the overall score for your game.

Oh, also, @Ima.notarobot, this is how you’ll judge the games.
