I gave up on the alien game, mostly because it evolved into something bigger than makecode, and I’m at the same time scared to work on a bigger project fearing that it would get deleted, so I decided to develop a series of small games. Here’s the first. A shooting parkour game with no real objective, you can just blast around the world. You can use the arrow keys to aim the weapon and move and x to jump, and space to shoot. You can blast yourself up or down by shooting down or up while in the air
Can’t wait for enemies,
this has potential.
My suggestion is to set jump to A and shoot to B.
I get confused with the original controls.
I like it, and I agree with the control switch, but make it easier to gun jump by when you press up the gun goes down and vice versa, and if you press right the gun goes left and vice versa. I found it hard to jump to the next level.
@QWERTYUIOP569 if I do that, how do you shoot enemies if your gun always goes the opposite direction? I could add sideways gun mechanics but IDK
Update! Added sideways momentum
You should add multiple levels. If you need help with that, I can help.
Found a neat little trick
- Jump from the ground with the gun facing down.
- Shoot downwards to get vertical momentum.
- Reload mid-air, and as soon as your done, point downward.
- Repeat these steps starting from step 2 again as much as you want.
If done correctly you can get infinite height.
yup probs gotta patch that
No dude you could keep this and add secrets which you can only reach exclusive to this jumping method
Also, if you want, I can make a level changer. I am bored, and I want to do something. Is that OK? (I might also make it so you can get different gun skins, and different gun upgrades like more bullets, and multi-shot.)
this is cool. if you update this more I will definitely beat it! (If there is an ending.)
I found an ice place with @RedSprite 's technique!
Hey @CodePerson, do you like the things I added? (You can change the tilemaps for level 2 and 3)
you can also move all the power ups. The 3 bullets is multi-shot and the single bullet gives you the an extra bullet without reloading.
I mean, I like it but the fact that you don’t have infinite bullets makes it feel like a timing based precision platformer, which is something I want to avoid. I like the power up idea though.
I got to the top using @RedSprite’s technique!
Nice mod @Noob1235
@Noob1235 what happened to the font?
I didn’t have numbers over 3, and I needed up to 10 so I used a text sprite
