Tsist Battles 2 (Devlog)

Since I can barely work on the first one (lags with >10000 blocks), I have no other choice but to create this game earlier than expected.

Anyways, the new and improved Tsist Battles 2 is in the works, with more battlers, better graphics, changeable colors, larger screen, & more.

I plan to make a more polished version of the game with a balanced and expanded roster, colour sets for each stage, color sets that are changeable in settings for each stage, more music, stages, and environments.

One of my solutions on the larger screen resolution multiplayer issue is to have other players look at P1’s screen.

Guys, which battlers should get buffed and which battlers should be nerfed and by how much?

The physics of the game are really fun, I just bounced around the level for a while :laughing: I don’t have another person to play with, though, so I don’t know how the balancing is.
I’d suggest Incorporating those player guides into the game as tutorials instead, but that might be something you’re already planning.
If you were ambitious enough, you could switch to coding in JavaScript to avoid this version of the game ending up with the same fate as the last one :eyes:

This is a really fun update!
Adding the Bouncer, its abilities are:
Swinging a bat to reflect projectiles (and players)
Launching a Bouncyball that can bounce on players and even
Springs can be jumped on to boost jumping and the
Floater, basically a weaponized DVD logo.

Fixes:

  • Fixed/Buffed Tank’s Stoneball (It’s harder to dodge to make it a better ability, so it’s faster, and it’s stronger.
  • Fixed Classic’s Shieldstone (Now it can actually block ranged things and deflect lasers)
How was the new Bouncer?
  • It’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too OP
  • This is a very strong one, it takes 0 skill to use.
  • Perfect with the others.
  • Not the worst one, but it needs a buff of two
  • This is a very weak battler, a pushover definitely.

The new battler is fun! I think this will be my new main, I love “weaponized DVD logo” :laughing:
The only issue I’ve found with it is that the bat can only swing to the right.

Introducing… The battler of destruction and demolition:
THE DETONATOR

The Detonator’s explosive artillery gives it massive stage control. Its abilities are:

Abilities:
Throwable Dynamite - Throw dynamite sticks that explode on impact.
Hoverbomb - Launch a hovering explosive. Hold to increase power and blast radius but reduce range.
Knock Blast - Place a controlled explosive that can only knock back. This cannot deal damage.
Explosive Mine - Place a mine that explodes when stepped on.

The explosives were really hard to make.

Changes:
Added regen & dying.
Buffed Laser’s Ability III to deal more damage.

Things that will change:

  • Detonator’s Ability I attack speed needs to decrease.
  • Projectiles also need to take knockback.
  • Fixing a bug that takes you from the ruleset screen directly to the arena (skipping the battler selection screen, immediately causing the game to crash.
After playing the game, how is the Detonator?
  • Really overpowered, nerf it a LOT!
  • Slightly powerful against the lot of battlers, it needs a nerf.
  • Makes a perfect fit with the rest of the cast.
  • The battler has some potential, but it still needs a buff.
  • Can’t really do much with the character, it needs a severe buff.

I’m back and I added some stages and fixed Detonator’s Ability I. It now has “swing attack speed”. Swing attack speed is when a battler attacks in a swing pattern, like in music.

i think that its damage should get a buff but attack speed nerf. not by much tho
