Hi everyone,

I want to sincerely apologize for the unexpected silence regarding the competition. Due to circumstances outside of MakeCode and the forums, I was unable to provide updates for a considerable amount of time. About a week ago, I was finally able to check back in, but instead of communicating, updating results, or even letting people know I was okay, I made the mistake of quietly stepping away. I feared the community would be frustrated with my absence, and that fear got the better of me.

This is something I deeply regret, and I want to assure you that it won’t happen again. The contestants and the community deserve better, and I’m committed to seeing this through with the care and attention it deserves.

Today, I’ll be posting the details of the voting system. Like the original UAT, fan voting will help determine the winner.

Thank you for your patience and understanding—I’m back.

Okay, it’s been a few months, maybe we should look into alternatives?

  • Let’s wait for Unique to return!
  • We should appoint a new judge
  • We should have the community vote on the result

I think the best option would be to have the community review it, since this way, we could get a variety of views, from many different people, which would even out the bias in some individuals.

Pretty sure that the UAT already use community voting polls for making decisions.

Definitely true, but when it boils down to these decisions, it usually is decided by Unique himself on the actual ratings of the games.
