šŸ–„ Weekly Topic: Favorite Video Game Console

@NeoStreak exactly, there so prideful in themselves they think people will just buy it despite the price. its literally going be the same mistake as the Wii u all over again.
@Josef true, they do have some pretty good games.
@swirlix its pretty simple there’s like 4 billion tutorials on how to do it online.

Okay… I know this is a half dead weekly topic but… I have a PS5 and a Nintendo and a Laptop and an iPad, so this is a very hard decision but I have to say PS5 for one of my favourite games, Hades.

Have you ever heard of a pocket retroid 5 s? It can play any old retro game in existence!

ye, but i just dont like emulation, it feels better to play things the intended way, not to mention, i dont pirate! If i wanted to emulate, i would just use my phone or computer!

Bro, just get a steam deck at this point, you could literally take all of your games and legally rip the roms from them and then have them on the go as well as at home, I get some people like the ā€œclassic feelā€ but I don’t think its worth it if its taking up that much space

Yeah, but at that point why not just use a phone? Or a laptop? they can do way more, are cheaper and most people have them anyway!

Not everyone can afford a phone or laptop powerful enough to run the all of the games they want to emulate. To be completely honest if you want an affordable home console that can emulate stuff Xbox series s is a decent option too

i have a steam deck, a 3ds (coming in the mail in a day or 2), a (broken) ds lite, a ps1, a raspberry pi, a handful of generic consoles with ā€œ400 nes gamesā€ (mostly repeats)
trust me, a steam deck (or any emulation handheld) just doesn’t have the same experience as playing on og hardware. this applies very much to the ds series because emulating 2 screens on 1 screen is very annoying. it just feels different and better playing games on og hardware. you only understand it once you try it.
(also if you still want lots of games but don’t want to emulate, consider buying a flashcart, you can have tons of games on just 1 cart! i have an r4 card for my ds and its a lifesaver!)

I agree!
I also colect retro video games! im getting a 3ds for my bday this year! You just cant emulate it..
Like not even on a steam deck!

agreed. trust me, a 3ds is so worth it! what model do you plan on getting? (personally i would recommend the og 3ds xl but if you want better 3d the new 3ds xl or just new 3ds is the way to go)

Probably the 3Ds. It was basically my childhood (along with the PS3, which is a close second).

Same here. I also bought a console that had ā€œ500 NES gamesā€ (some are also repeats).

I got one where after 100 it start repeating it had a work Pokemon emerald so it was great
