Hi everyone! Hope you’re April is off to a good start!
This week, let’s consider this question. If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be? And this can be anything: food, clothes, modes of transportation, a drink of some kind, a piece of tech, plants, maybe something fantastical? You can even step outside of things for yourself if that calls to you–like planting trees or gifting someone else something.
Another thing we can chat about regarding this topic is how unlimited supply would look, because I’m thinking about it and I’m torn by how this would possibly be implemented. At first, I was thinking that it would just kinda be a magical replacement system where you would get one unit of supply of the thing that you’re subscribing to and then, once it’s out, you would get poofed another supply of the thing. Like, for example, if you were wanting an unlimited supply of hot cheetos, once you finished a bag, another would just appear in your pocket or pantry or wherever makes sense for it to appear (maybe you set a spawn point, too?). However, a system like this doesn’t work very well when you’d want a lot of something at once. The first example that comes to mind is someone who really likes collecting squishmallows and wants to get more squishmallows whenever they want.
So, what do y’all think? What would you want an unlimited supply of and should the system be that it magically replaces or should you just be able to request your unlimited supply target at any point and more of that thing will just appear around you as the base supply amount?
Hopefully that wasn’t too rambly/confusing… Let’s chat about it!
P.S. For the sake of our conversation, the supply is magical so there is no wait time and does not use the same resources as your thing would outside of the unlimited supply construct.

Actually, when I initially read this, I was at a loss for words- Not because I had some mind-blowing moment, but it really made me think about what I would pick. I think I’d pick an infinite amount of love. Not necessarily in a World-Peace kind of way (because NO) but I mean in the way where I can make everyone I meet and talk to feel appreciated and loved. Loved like a friend, or loved as family, give them that feeling that someone appreciates them! I’ve always loved being there for others and helping others in their hard times, because making someone else’s day makes my day!
As for my selfish answer, I’d want an infinite amount of pizza! But the way I want my system to work is simple. A pizza box- But every time you pick up a slice from the pie, another one fills up and takes its spot. And the best part? Every time you open up the pizza box, it will always be a pie of your favorite pizza! (Or the one you want at the moment XD)

An unlimited supplies of food is the best in my opinion.
Just think of it, food equals power, right?

I agree! Although I would want to be able to pause time with it (Infinite time), and also not age due to this unlimited supply of something. Oh, also I would like to be immortal. Maybe I have this unlimited supply of this sweet that kills anyone else who eats it, but gives me special powers

An infinite supply of metal spheres that morph into whatever I say.
If I have one of my metal spheres (I will call them “Infinispheres”) I can say “pizza” and the ball will morph into a pizza. If I have one of my Infinispheres and say “infinisphere” I get another infinisphere that creates another that creates another that creates another that creates another that creates another and so on for infinity, breaking the universe.
They would appear whenever I scream “Glub glub metal spheroid GO” at the top of my lungs (don’t ask)

Luck. If i had infinite luck i would be able to be very fortunate and guess my geometry problems and they would be right! Luck would also allow me to get money and help people around me.

I’m gonna ignore all the loopholes that have been created here and open yet another! I would have an infinite supply of me! I can split into another “me” at any time and recombine with the clones. Neither copy is truly “me”, both are equally me and when… we??… combine again into one “me” I end up with the memories of both clones. That way it won’t be like I’m horribly lazy and making my clones do all my work for me, because they are all me. I would just have the ability to get all my work done whenever I happen to be in the mood for doing work (I’m sure my teachers wouldn’t mind me procrastinating for a week and then magically getting everything done in the single hour I achieve natural motivation)
Oh and I should probably add something like all my clothes and items get copied so all my clones can have a computer and stuff.
