The renderers work together! I’ll have @IAmMyGuy21th and @TheEarth.
yes, I made this https://arcade.makecode.com/S42038-12551-87236-61430. edit the tilemaps, but only use the tiles listed in the lists.
tileImages are the cubes and tileObjects are the tiles. you create a tile in the tilemaps editor, then name it something
<name>Tile, then you add that to the list tileObjects. Then you draw the cube version of it, 24x24, name it <name> without the tile part, and add it to the tileImages list. Sometimes when you edit the tilemaps it glitches. don’t change the name of the tilemaps or use your own because it glitches and I still haven’t fixed that issue .
WOW!!! These are amazing, thanks so much for your help!
on which one? for isocraft i made my own render function to draw to background image. for 3D Minecraft but actually 3d I used AqeeAqee/pxt-isometric-sideview. Isocraft is in Javascript.
yeah nothing works for me. ![]()
I also made this version but it’s way harder to customize. It renders everything from code. Instead of images I individually wrote functions for each tile type.
I added animations
Wait are you using mouse/touchscreen or keyboard?
Keyboard controls are:
~ key=menu
Space key=A
Enter key=B
Arrows/WASDkeys=DPad
Backspacekey=Restart
I’m using keyboard and lemme try that…
(I never knew that ~ is menu)
a random isometric experiment i made ages ago:
could you explain or show how the render function works and what it does?
Richard! You’re here!
blocks pls ![]()
@moopmakers is the bugger. I’m sorry everyone else. It was only fair to write names on paper and mix ‘em up, then draw one out from the table.
Niceeeeee! This matches a bit with @IAmMyGuy21th’s 3D version of 3D Minecraft!
Using an elevation map? That could be useful for terrain generation.
Also it looks really cool.
I made it a topic.
I uses a project function with this equation to convert xyz to xy coords, then draws back to front from a tilemap. it gets the index of the tile in the tilemaps and gets that index of the cube images. during the render, if the tile xyz = player’s xyz coords, it renders a player select box image.
hmm this is nice
.
Actually… MakeCraft is like bedwars.
