What’s binary code?
It’s a number system, which uses only two digits (0 and 1) instead of 10 like our decimal system. Just wondering though, didn’t you learn that in school on ICT? We did, all the way back in like 5th grade

There are a few standards (ASCII, UNICODE…), but they all work by encoding a certain character with a sequence of binary bits. For example, A is 01000001, B is 01000010 etc.
The more bits it takes to encode one character, the more characters you can have, but the more space each character takes up. ASCII code uses 7 bits, extended ASCII 8 bits (one byte) and UNICODE uses 16 bits (2 bytes)
