A random Pizza Tower game

Another spoiler warning here, this is just a bunch of level concepts I had for the game (@Nerdiest if you still want to work on level design, these are for you!!)

Summary

Also, by the way, the levels are not listed by the order they are played in, instead, they are listed in the order that I conceptualized them.

  1. As previously mentioned, this would be a beach level with many palm trees, where a water treatment facility is being constructed in the background. Due to this construction, there would be many chains (links) around the place that the player could climb. Its title could be “Backlink Beach”, and it would be the John Gutter replacement (the first level in Pizza Tower).

  2. This could be a level that takes place in a city with many gears and cogs…there’s not too much to say about it, other than that it replaces Pizzascape (the second level in Pizza Tower). The first transformation could be included here, and its title could be “Cogtown”.

  3. This could be a cool level set inside some kind of dance party, with the ground being made out of boomboxes, radios, and other music-pumping objects. The gimmick of this level would be a character that could steal your collectibles, in which you would have to catch them to get the collectibles back, and small segments where you would have to press certain arrow keys in a dance battle. Its name could be “Dance-off” or “Boogie Battle”, and it would be the Wasteyard replacement (the seventh level in Pizza Tower).

  4. This level would be the WAR replacement (twenty-third level in Pizza Tower) and would be themed around the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). I’m not sure what the gimmick would be here, other than a timer that is present throughout the level, which is a feature in the original level.

  5. This level would be the Refrigerator-Refrigerador-Freezerator replacement (nineteenth level in Pizza Tower) and would take place in a giant toaster. The gimmick of this level would be knobs found around the place that reduce the temperature, allowing the player to grind on rails (that were previously too hot to touch) and get to formerly unreachable places.

So, those are all of the level ideas I have. I can’t edit this post forever, so I’m probably going to need to create a follow-up containing the other level ideas.

More level ideas. Spoiler warning, again.

Summary
  1. This level would be the Fast Food Saloon replacement (ninth level in Pizza Tower) and would take place on…the MakeCode Forums. The different segments of the level would be based off of the many types of topics that can be found here (such as Arcade, Blog, PXT, etc.) Its title could be “MakeCode Madness” or “The Forums”.

  2. This level would be the GOLF replacement (fourteenth level in Pizza Tower) and take place in, weirdly enough, an e-mail inbox. The main gimmick of this level would be flying, ridable envelopes that you would need to direct into a trash can to continue, similarly to the gimmick of GOLF. Its name could be “You’ve Got Mail”.

  3. This level would be the Oregano Desert (sixth level in Pizza Tower) replacement and would take place on an alpine mountain. The entirety of the level could be made out of JavaScript code and different pieces of code would have different effects on the player (such as making them move really fast or making them always jump). Its name could be “Mount Java”.

  4. This level would be the Ancient Cheese replacement (third level in Pizza Tower) and would take place on a river with the ruins of an ancient temple. The gimmick of this level would be keyboard keys that would bounce you up to higher and previously unreachable locations. Its name could be “QWERTY River”.

Okay, that’s it. I’ll continue to make level ideas later, but this is all I have now.

@Brohann or somebody else, could you help with this, please? Again, I don’t mean to rush anybody, I just really need help with this, as I’m unable to do this correctly so far.

That…is…PERFECTLY FINE!
Here’s the new link for the game. It contains some small fixes and a new HUD (which doesn’t do anything just yet.)

here is the link for the wall jumping

The only code I changed is in the jumping code.

Also, you no longer have to use these blocks. You can change the colors directly from the asset tab! I recommend changing them there because then they also change in the art editor.

Oh. Thank you, this DOES help, but it wasn’t really what I was looking for, unfortunately. At this point, I should just clarify what each those moves do.

Wall Climb (not wall jump): While dashing, you can press up while touching the wall to climb it. After you hit a ceiling, you will fall down.

Super Jump: While dashing, if you press down, you will enter a “charging up” state where you will crouch and start to flash white after a little. When the down button is released, you will fly up, and fall once you hit a ceiling. Additionally, you can press the dash button while super jumping; this will make the character play a small animation and start dashing at high speeds afterwards.

Grab: By pressing the A button, the character will play a grab animation and lunge forward, gaining some speed in the process. If an enemy is near the player while they are grabbing, the enemy will be grabbed, and by pressing the grab button again, you can throw them.

Taunt: By pressing the taunt button (whatever that will be) the character will play one out of a couple of other animations. Their gravity will stop while they are playing the animation, and once the animation concludes, they will fall.

Thanks for your help though, I appreciate it.

Thanks for the clarification! I will get started on those moves now.
also, I have a cool level idea.

level idea (spoiler warning)

When you first start the game, you go to the wall behind you and glitch through the ceiling. You can do this by crouching next to a wall, jumping at it, and then falling right back to where you were when you were crouching(can only happen with Bit). I have an example of it in my wall jumping project.

The level will have aspects and tiles here and there from other levels, but has an overall glitched state. Upon finding the secret exit, you are rewarded with a key and then you teleport back to where you came from, but now you have access to a vault that is placed on another floor. In the vault is lots of coins, and maybe an NPC or boss or something.

I love that idea! Perhaps you could be the NPC there, and if you attack them, a boss battle would start. Maybe after beating the boss fight you could be unlocked as a playable character…

Also, what or where would the level take place in? Just curious.

Are you asking for what floor # it will be or what floor the vault will be in?

So…Quick question-(I’m working on the music for the first stage now) You say this game is set in a castle right? Is this gonna be something like Mario 64? (each world is a painting??) or is each floor a different world in itself? Or are the charechters traveling through their world to get to the castle??

Well, YES, but actually no.
I meant the theme of the level and where it would take place in. For example, the second level of Pizza Tower (Pizzascape) takes place in a castle.

Well- um…that IS a very good idea actually.
I was just going to make the way you transition between the floors the same as Pizza Tower, where you would get a key from the boss battle of that floor and use to key to move on to the next one.
Though…this COULD be like Mario 64- I really like that actually

Hey, this is cool! I like it
Also, do you think it would be okay to take turns with the level design? For example, you’re working on the level design for Backlink Beach (whatever it’s being called), and then I could work on the level design for Cogtown (2nd level). What do you think of that?

Ever so sorry @TheConeGuy! But i need to enlist your help!! Would you mind doing Diz’s animations? He’s supposed to look kinda like mario, with a DARK blue hat a DARK blue sweater, black shorts brown shoes and curly black hair! (no mustache!)
