The biggest problem is that it could be one of many things. Most often, it’s the school’s network. Here are the best ways to troubleshoot if you find you’re having issues reaching the curriculum.

  1. Try logging in from a new browser (or on an incognito tab, if you can’t try a new browser.)
  2. Verify that youf GitHub teacher verification is valid and active
  3. Attempt to log-in off the school wifi (via cell hub or off-campus)
  4. For Intro to CS, attempt to reach the GitHub repo directly ( https://github.com/microsoft/TEALS-MakeCode-IntroCS)
  5. Fill out the Manual Repo Access Form form

Hello, I was recently approved for my GitHub Education account and it is working fine. However, whenever I try to access the TEALS course materials, I get a prompt that says I do not have an education account. So I follow the link to complete the application, but the application is already complete and approved. Any suggestions?

I’m having the same issue. I’m verified as an educator and my school email is attached to my GitHub account. But when I follow the link for the curriculum, I get the verification error and I also cannot access the repo directly. I get the 404 error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi @KIKIvsIT - I’ve tried all of the above steps and still not able to access. I get “teacher verification failed” even though I have been a verified educator for over a month. When I try to access the repo directly I get a 404 not found. I’ve tried searching github for “TEALS-MakeCode-IntroCS” and it does not find any repositories. Please advise.

Hi Kiki,
I’m still unable to access the course curriculum. Every link I try is unsuccessful. The course was recommended by another teacher in a FB group I belong to and she said she had trouble accessing it at first as well. Can you please assist?

When you go to the gitHub link you need to login. It always gives a 404 if you have not logged in and authenticated recently.

I am unable to access the Intro to Computer Science course materials and I also get the message saying that “GitHub Teacher Verification Failed."

I have checked that I am GitHub teacher verified, tried both links (404 on the direct link even after checking that I’m logged in), and have tried different browsers/networks. I have also tried clicking the Microsoft MakeCode link on the Available Offers section of my GitHub Education Dashboard. This takes me to the AP Computer Science Principles curriculum, not the Intro to CS materials.

I would appreciate assistance with this. Thank you!

Just to clarify, you’re able to access the AP CSP curriculum but not Intro to CS?

I’ll need to check up on why that’s happening.

Yes, that is correct. I can access the AP CSP curriculum but I am unable to access the Intro to CS curriculum.
