Is there a trick to getting access to course materials? I’ve been verified as an educator and when I click the link to download (https://aka.ms/TEALSintroCS) I get a verification failed error. I’ve been verified for several weeks now.
Same! I gave up after awhile…
Hi, @mrevanwhite and @gbrune ! Let us know what your GitHub usernames are. @KIKIvsIT can you help them with their access? Or is there another route they should go, like a form or something to fill out for us?
Would you try going directly to the repo? I’ve seen that work for others:
https://github.com/microsoft/TEALS-MakeCode-IntroCS/
Same as on here – mrevanwhite. Thanks for your reply/help
Link did not work. 404.

The next step is to make sure your educator email is connected to the same github account that you’re using. (I’m guessing it is, but would you mind popping in to settings → emails to check?)
I’ve added you both, so hopefully you can see it now. I’d still really like to figure out why it wasn’t letting you in as verified educators, but maybe something will come to me in my sleep…
@AlexK, will you attempt to access the intro course materials by visiting https://aka.ms/TEALSintroCS
Whenever I do it, it sends me to a page that only admins are allowed to see…
@KIKIvsIT This is what I get, since I’m not currently a verified educator:
Of course, going directly to the repo works fine for me.
I am having the same issue. Could you add my username to the list as well? I am a verified teacher but it is not allowing me access to the course material and the link gives me a 404 error.
When you say that you’re a verified teacher, do you mean GitHub verified? Meaning you can pass through here without getting to the error page, but you see a 404 when it drops you into the curriculum?
If you do get an error message, please follow the prompts to request special access and we can get you added.
Correct, I am GitHub verified. Yes, I see the 404 when I click the github link and the “verification failed” page when I click this link “https://aka.ms/TEALSintroCS” There are no prompts for requesting special access. I followed all the prompts to get teacher verified and it says I am verified as a teacher when I go to the page for verifying again, it shows I am verified. but when I got here “https://aka.ms/TEALSintroCS” it says verification failed.
I am now having this same issue. I was able to get access to the material all of first semester just fine. I am github verified. When I go to the link I get the 404 message. When I use the aka.ms/TEALSintroCS link I get the verification error.
I see this when I try to click into an inner folder. We are investigating!
Hi, I’m experiencing this issue as well. I took all the steps to become a Github verified educator, but when I try to access the course materials at https://aka.ms/TEALSintroCS, it says “Github Teacher Verification Failed.”
How long ago did your approval go through? I can check to see if you’ve been added to the repo yet.
My approval went through on January 20, 2025.
Im curious if a solution to this issue has been found. I am receiving the same message. I was approved as a teacher on Feb. 20 and was hoping to get some help on how to get access to the curriculum.
