yeah i might revert the sound changes… it is accurate to hardware but the sounds have much more aliasing in the browser
After reading through the blog, I can confirm that this is amazing ![]()
If it just explains the problem better I would like it but if it just fixes it I, I kinda don’t like that
I think it doesnt

hey folks, we usually do a patch release the week after updating the editor to address any bugs people find. so FYI, a hotfix will be coming this week that addresses the following issues:
- Bug: checkmark not appearing in block dropdowns to show what’s currently selected
- Bug: icon not rendering properly on animation blocks
- Bug: some block dropdowns aren’t scrolling properly when they have a lot of items (e.g. tile picker, string autocomplete fields)
- Bug: debugger toolbox is overflowing horizontally when variable names are too long
- Bug: error list keeps popping up even after you’ve dismissed it
- Bug: when deleting a top-level block, focus jumps to whatever block is in the top left of the workspace
- Bug: project descriptions can’t be deleted once saved in share dialog
- Bug: gallery isn’t showing up in tilemap editor when editing or creating a new tile
- Bug: selecting tilemaps from the gallery duplicates tiles in my tiles section
- Bug: sometimes clicking on tilemaps in the gallery throws an exception preventing it from replacing the current tilemap
plus a couple new features:
- Tiles imported from asset packs now get their own category in the tilemap palette (i’ll be posting a tutorial on how to create tileset packs soon)
- Standalone tilepicker block will be added to the scene category (sorry, i forgot to put this in the last release)
and finally, i’ll also be reverting the music changes. the new music is accurate to hardware, but it sounds too different from the old browser implementation.
if you find any other bugs, please let us know!
Yaya! Go @richard!
yay thank you so much for these changes i can’t wait for the hotfix alot of the bugs here were rlly messing with me these past few days so im glad their getting fixed!

I was just about to post about the focus jumping, glad it got fixed!
Small request (don’t know if this was already asked by someone)
Is there a way you can add a mass delete option for the assets? A lot of the extensions seem to add unwanted sprites and such in the assets and you can’t delete them all in one go. It would mostly save some time when stuff like this happens honestly.
yes lets go
there is also this error where when you add the same on this block and then delete it the yellow check one does not change back as fast as it did now I know that’s not that big of a problem but its just something I notice
Had this one too and it is so much worse on mobile, glad its noticed.
I took a break for a while. Im back now
I believe that too. Say AI and investors, CEOs, execs open their wallets and let you grab whatever want. If it keeps the funding coming great, but let’s keep AI “explain with AI” not “do with AI”.
The day you can officially say “make a side scrolling game with flashing coins” in a prompt and see the result I think the purpose of MakeCode will be lost (learning tool).
This is a brilliant update for me since it means that I can use makecode again (idk what happened but it no longer crashes every 2 seconds)
Reporting a bug here since i dont have a github: images kinda just mitose on their own whenever you try and use them. They seem to duplicate whenever i add them to a block of code.
hotfix release is live now! give it a shot!
keep reporting any bugs you find in this thread!
i need more info than that… can you record a video or give me some concrete steps to reproduce the issue?
