Hey folks!
Now that Cozy Jam has completed, it’s time to hop back on the mini game jam bandwagon! And what better way to start us off then to bring back one of the classic game jam themes of yore: it’s time for Cursed Jam Part 2!
That’s right! Everyone’s favorite theme that is seemingly designed to make me suffer because I have to play all of the games on the livestream at the end of it.
…but what is a cursed game? It’s any game where the controls and gameplay seem to be actively working against you. That doesn’t mean that the game should be impossible, just frustrating or weird. The best cursed games are games where you can clearly see the path to victory.
Here are some good interpretations of this theme:
- A platformer where the controls randomize every 10 seconds
- A typing game where you can only select letters by rolling a 26 sided dice again and again until you get the correct letter
- Whatever this is
Need more inspiration? Check out all the games in part one! You can also check out one of the five games I made with the stream team!
