Now that its been played on stream let me post an explanation:
The enemy has 1225 health. Your attacks deal up to 70 damage depending on how well they are timed. Critical attacks happen when the timing is really good, they deal up to 100 damage.
You gain TP by “grazing” bullets, aka being near them but not getting hit. You can use this TP on a healing act or a damaging act, either healing yourself for 20hp or damaging the foe for 250.
The shield option allows you to defend. Defending builds up TP and makes you take less damage that turn (35 → 25).
The enemy cycles through 5 different attacks, repeating whenever the last one is used. Learn what attacks are most difficult for you, maybe defend during those turns. The fight is won when you deplete it’s HP, so keep your eyes on the prize. 5 Slashes, or 4 if your attacks keep up, should be enough to win. Good luck!
Sadly, my computer was taken away on the last day so I couldn’t finish my game in time.

Pretty sure last mini-game jam’s live stream went on for quite a bit.

@richard my game SquaresRage is definitely beatable just on the one jump; you jump early, then move through the tight squeeze. It takes some practice though.
Also, you never died 75 times because if you do, a 5-minute timer appears.

Not as far as I know! Most game jam streams are around 1.5 hours. I didn’t check very far back though.
The one @redSprite mentioned was 1:47:21 in length according to YouTube, and the Mini Big Jam was 2:07:34 but that’s still less than today’s record of 2:44:11!

I missed the stream but just watched up to my game now. While I concur that my game was quite fun, it is not up to the standard that I hold my main jam games up to. You are welcome for the small respite it gave in the midst of all the pain. Also, the last level is just a long snake that is one tile wide and I feel it would not be as fun then.
