My submission is going to be based on the MOTHER/EARTHBOUND franchise!
BELOW CONTAINS LORE AND SPOILERS
You are A teenage science factory worker who was selected to go back in time to 65 million years ago as a time travel test. Your Jealous Co-workers (Dan & Bob) Are mad you were selected and not them. So they plan to loosen the nuts and bolts of your ship to destroy it mid teleport. Their Plan works and your ship breaks down Mid-Time warp. Now you’re Stranded in the past with your Emergency Factory Knife (Totally normal for workers to carry around), Fighting Dinosaurs all over an island, Searching for parts of your ship In hope that you can survive to make it back to the past.
