Hey @richard, is it okay if I only submit a demo? I really have no time to work on anything for the next few weeks.
I’ve tried to re-arrange but I really have no time. Thanks!
I have a horribly unfinished game that I submitted by accident. I can’t say anything but I have no chance of even getting an honorable mention!
That is how view my block number too!!!
I have a feeling I’m getting cooked this year…
that’s fine!
@richard I’ve been working on a game with two of my classes that fits this theme perfectly. However, we started the project a month or so before the game jam was announced. It has been finished up quite recently. The rules don’t say anything about when the project needs to be started, but I thought I’d run it by here first.
Would it be appropriate to submit it, or does our timeline not fit the ethos of the game jam?
Thanks!
Mike
Thanks you so much!
well he said that there’s no rule that says you cant upload a game not made during the jam but he said he would be disappointed if it was not made during the jam
@michaelcaplan i’'ll make an exception for classroom projects
, feel free to submit!
And games started pre jam and finished during? ![]()
like started pre jam and finished during the jam I’d say is fine
During playtesting I found that using online multiplayer, all it would show was a grey screen. I assumed this was because I was using two of the same account and brushed it off as something that I could test a gain later. I found that my assumption was incorrect in playtesting yesterday, when I did try two accounts. All yesterday I tried fixing the issue in the editor, to no avail. Today, decided to look on the forums to see if anyone else had encountered the issue.
Apparently, makecode online does not support higher screen resolution.
My game relies heavily on the screen being 640x480, which is a lot, but allows for every player to get their own 320x240 screen in 4 player, which is the only way to make 16x16 sprites and tiles appear in an average size. Even if I was able to redo the entire games art in the last day, all of the sprites would have to be 4x4. Not to mention that the main menu would be enormous and the logo would be unreadable.
Unless @richard and the team rush to re-work the multiplayer system to work with high resolution games, I might have to recceed from the jam, as the game I have worked so long on just doesn’t work in the intended game mode.
Edit after thinking awhile: I think I’m going to submit the game as is. maybe a future update will make online available. There is always local mode if you want to play two player.
It’s currently 05/14/2026, while I’m typing this out, it appears that the final submission deadline is looming upon us all very soon.
Judging by all the leaks so far, we’re gonna be eating GOOD with this one. And it genuinely doesn’t take a Terrence Tao, Ramanujan, Leonardo Da Vinci, Carl Gauss, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, or any other widely-acclaimed genius to see it.
I looked at the clock and realized I only have less than 2 days left to make a game.
I had an idea to mix a couple of my old projects into one, and here’s a gif of what I got so far:

Who thinks I should proceed and submit this?
Now for my final act, I finish my entire game that’s not even close to being done!
Y’all can I get a 1 Day extension (thru the 16th)? I miscalculated the time (thinking it ended the 16th) I promise y’all my game is good ![]()
(I got over 49,000 lines of javascript code, probably because of images and music lol)
Hey everyone! I have my finished submission here! I’ll admit, I got much less done than I wished I had, but I’m still very proud of this! It’s a short but challenging game that has you grab basketballs and score them! Do your past as more obstacles are added every single wave!
Do you have what it takes to complete all 5 of them? Hope you enjoy the special made music that goes along with it as well! It’ll be going free on the Free Music topic after the Game Jam is concluded!
Cya soon! Hope to score Top 3!
everybody has been granted a stay of execution!
i’ll extend the deadline to 11:59 PM sunday. if you’ve already submitted and want to keep making tweaks over the weekend, feel free to submit again!
