This is a survival game inspired by Minecraft (but 2d)

It’s very far from being completed, I started this week

I probably won’t work on it much so anyone can copy it or edit it

It’s not very good and I’m a beginner, but I still wanted to show it

Controls

Arrow keys to move

A to chop trees, attack animals, and pick mushrooms

Note: I copied the animals from a video game I like to play :sweat_smile:

I’ll probably add more animals, though

New Version

Adds a bunch of rare animals and introduces rabbits

There is also now a starter menu and mining sounds

I changed the player to steve (Sorry I copied it from makecode minecraft)

Also the knockback is x3 stronger

Rare Animals

jade rabbit: 1.5% chance to spawn instead of regular rabbit

brown rabbit: 48.5% chance to spawn instead of regular rabbit
pygmy hog: 10% chance to spawn instead of regular pig

This is a sick game! Maybe you could add crafting or mining the ground? Also how do you open the inventory?

This is officially a real game :smiley:
I am updating this game very quick!

I added 5 settings
  1. To control the speed of animal spawning
  2. To disable animal spawning completely
  3. To control the max amount of animals in one chunk (32 x 32)
  4. To control the damage the player does using a regular punch
  5. To control knockback
I added 7 achievements
  1. Pro Forager
  2. Jade Rabbit Hunt
  3. Too Many Animals
  4. Hunter
  5. We Killed Something
  6. Mycologist
  7. FUNGUSSSS!

I also made it way less laggy

Toolbar! Click menu to access

Right now its pretty useless but I will add an inventory to go with it

Adds mushrooms into the toolbar if you pick them

You start with a basic workbench (currently does nothing)

Added 3 settings
  1. Achievement speed
  2. Player Speed
  3. Cooldown time needed when traveling between chunks (32 x 32)
I added 8 achievements
  1. Visitor
  2. Wanderer
  3. Explorer
  4. Is it safe to eat?
  5. Forager
  6. Pathfinder
  7. Wow, what a trip!
  8. Mushroom Madness
  9. World Traveler
Coming Soon in the Far/Near Future (Possibly)
  1. Horses
  2. Name tags
  3. Full inventory (not just toolbar)

so I like the INFINITE WORLD GENERATION! but when I move between them it changes like tree here now no tree

But yeah… I can’t really fix that because I’m a beginner. I can’t fix it because that means I have to store every chunk’s tilemap state, and that means infinity.

If I knew how to do a seeded system, then that would be fixed by now.

Or maybe I could store just the tilemap from before and delete the previous ones.

1.6 technically has a toolbar (click menu)

but, it is very, very, glitchy
