Canadian French Translations

Hello,
I thought I might help other people out and do translations for their games I might take a bit because I don’t have a ton of free time, but if you need me to translate your games into French Canadian I’m here to help. Please don’t make me translate too much.

If you want me translate for you use the following format:

Sentence -
Word -

etc… etc…

If you want me to directly translate this into your game submit a link of the game with the list shown previously.

Once again this might take a few days depending on how many requests I get, but I’m here to help.

(Side note: I’m not drawing custom fonts. Only stuff directly in the splash, showlongtext, arrays, and maybe more. Point being if you have something like a title screen with drawn out fonts, I’ll give you a note next to the code of what it would be.)

(Other Side note: If anyone knows Canadian French and doesn’t mind helping me, I’d appreciate that.)

Just so all of you know there is a difference between Canadian French and Parisian French (Parisian meaning from France.) I can’t explain it very well but this blog does.

Wow! It sounds amazing. I also like to listen to French music. I learned French Canadian from my mother, who learned from my grandmother. Nice to see another french speaker here.

And to answer your question I use English. Canadian french is my second language.
But I do use the Canada French keyboard on my iPhone.

Those additional keyboards make typing in multiple languages so much easier! I always add the US-International keyboard layout on my Windows machines and switch to it when I need to write in French or some other Western language. The next time I’m in Canada, I’m totally buying a French Canadian keyboard.

For those of you who like the story The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo, you definitely should check out the French musical Notre Dame de Paris. You can find it if you dig enough.

(Hint: Search for “Notre Dame de Paris comedie musicale.”)

The original production just celebrated its 25th anniversary, and the current French production even had a residency in New York last year! The music and the presentation are wonderful, and you really don’t need to know French to enjoy it. The original French principles are mega stars in the Francophone world, and it’s how I came to learn of the music of Garou, Patrick Fiori, Hélène Ségara, and Daniel Lavoie (among others). Daniel Lavoie is still performing the role of Frollo 25 years later!
