I think I know who The Knight is in Deltarune.

It’s Papyrus. In Undertale, you face Papyrus in snowdin, a cold place. And in Deltarune, you face against the Knight….in a cold place, and even having similar body-types. Papyrus seems to have a symbol on his battle body that resembles a symbol that the Starman has. The ghost of starman can use PK Starstorm. The Knight has a move (it’s very first one) resembling PK Starstorm. They are both powerful: Undyne has stated that Papyrus is "pretty freakin’ tough”, and both have high defense.

You might ask, why the antlers? It’s a helmet. Papyrus is missing in Chapter 4, and who was in the closet in the church? The Knight. Papyrus even states that he “has no skeletons in his closet, except for [him] sometimes.” The narration mentions it twice. Once in the computer room, and twice in the church. Both The Knight and Papyrus are the only bosses in Undertale and Deltarune (except Gerson in Chapter 4) to not kill you. They simply defeat you. They both hold back immensely.

Why would The Knight go for Tenna’s arms if he could’ve went for the head? And you might think “why is Lost Girl in Black Knife”? It plays in sad moments in the game. It could infer that Papyrus is being forced to do this. Aaaand that’s it.

Whatever is this calamity!?!?

I am aware of this error. I recommend not using the AI summarizer…

AT ALL!

Discourse has to get better!

And yet again, AI can’t be bad. I mean- what other ways can AI mess up other than here?

I have the exact theory, also, in Undertale, when you go to Grillby’s with Sans, he says that a flower has been giving him words of advice. What if that was Flowey, who states that it was fun toying with Papyrus at some point of the game, (before you came along and Flowey lost the power of saving.) But since Asriel exists in Deltarune, (just off at college,) Flowey wouldn’t exist. What if this caused Papyrus. to grow depression, or another similar mental illness? Could Papyrus be doing this out of sadness, and grief? Happy to see another Deltarune/Undertale fan in this community!

Jamiroquai fun fact: the song “Black Devil Car” is an aggressive song about Jay’s black Ferrari Enzo, or this car:

Yeah no this car can get it, I’d trust this thing with my life.

Me trying desperately to stay out of the AI conversation because I just know I’m going to end up in a heated argument with the supporters.

No. Temmie is the Roaring Knight. Hear me out guys. How else would they know about the eggs?

jk, I agree with the papyrus sentimate, just because Dess seems too obvious, you know? If Papyrus is sad, it would explains why he’s making the Dark Fountains. Too escape from a depressing reality. Maybe being the Roaring Knight is the only thing making him feel important? Or needed? In the Light world, Papyrus is just a pathetic, depressed dude, but in the dark world… He can be whatever he wants. The dark worlds are the only place were he’s in charge. Where he is the one people are scared of. This is more going into speculation, but you get what I’m saying right??

I’m pretty sure there is an unofficial Deltarune forums, along with other ones on Steam and Reddit were you guys can talk about stuff like this if your curious. mods don’t ban me.

Here’s my theory:

The knight is the mayor (Carol Holiday). In the fourth chapter, we find out that Kris and the mayor are working together on something. In chapter three when facing the black knight, if you were to survive long enough to damage the knight a bunch until almost death, Kris winks (or something like that, I don’t fully remember) and basically tells the knight to end the fight. After that turn, the knight becomes white, about to do the final attack.
The mayor calls Kris near the beginning of chapter 4, when you explore Noelle’s house. In the house, there is a guitar with the code to the bunker on it. When the mayor comes back, she kicks Susie and Kris out so that Susie can’t get the code to the bunker, where the knight kidnapped and stored Undyne.
The antlers are attached to the mayor’s head lol, so that’s what I would say the antlers are.

Also, the sword the knight uses is literally in the mayor’s house. It’s on the wall in the kitchen.
