For all my American chads on the forums, how was Thanksgiving? It was me and British Dog’s first time doing it this year with the extended fam, and it ended up being a lot more fun then I thought it would. I hope you guys got something out of it. Just in case if no one has said it to you in a while, I love you guys.
I love colabs! But there is always one problem. I feel like a mass colab might be a bad idea? Typically nobody wants to code, and they want to make music or art. (If you want I would totally help with coding , But I am probably less advanced than you.
Recommendations:
Have teams that YOU assigned. So let’s say that someone wanted to join your colab. I would look at their skills, and depending on that assign them to a job.
Have a small coding team. Like to or three people at most. I would say the more people doing animations the better. That always takes a long time.
Set requirements. like: ‘‘Get this done by the end of the day. ‘‘ that way it stays organized and people know what they are doing. You are the leader.
ALREADY HAVE A THEME AND GAME PICKED OUT, so if something like racing won, then you would say a Mario cart colab. this keeps people from wanting to join then not liking the theme.
That’s what the poll was for.
I want to mnow what the theme will be so I can make a base game before officially starting the collab.
So far it seems like we’ll be making a rougelite adventure game…
That sounds fun.
