Once again, incorrect. Tetris was actually invented in the USSR (Moscow) by Alexey Pajitnov as a portmanteau of the words Tetra (Greek for four) and Tennis (Alexey’s favorite sport). In fact, Korobeiniki was chosen for the Game Boy port for its increasing tempo but also because of the game’s Russian origins. Despite the game being known on the Game Boy, the game’s origins were Russian.
TLDR: @Tsylavania you are incorrect, factually incorrect. Tetris’ origins are Russian and Korobeiniki is a reference to this. Please research before posting or else some people will believe that this misinformation is fact.
