Hey everyone! I’m CodaKnight, and I’m running for MakeCode Arcade President in 2026. This is my first time running, so I’m pretty excited to see where this goes!
I’ve spent a lot of time making games, extensions, and… apparently, an entire world where punctuation is important enough to have its own mythology. So naturally, I had to bring some of that energy here.
I have a few things I’d like to focus on if I get the chance to help lead the community.
What I’ll Bring
MakeCode for Everyone
I think MakeCode Arcade should be a place where you can start with basically no experience and still find your way around.
There’s a lot you can do with MakeCode Arcade, but sometimes finding out how to do something can be harder than actually doing it. I’d like to see more tutorials, examples, and documentation that make those things easier to figure out.
Better Tools & Extensions
I’ve spent a lot of time making and experimenting with extensions, and I think there’s a lot of potential here.
I’d like to see more people making extensions, sharing them, improving them, and—just as importantly—actually explaining how to use them.
More Community Projects
Let’s give people more opportunities to actually build things together.
Game jams, challenges, collaborative projects, experiments, and other community events can bring game developers together while giving everyone something fun to work toward.
Encourage Experimentation
Not every idea is going to work.
That’s kind of the fun of programming.
I think people should feel comfortable trying something strange, posting an experiment, or making a project just because they thought it would be cool. Sometimes those experiments turn into some of the most interesting projects.
A Community That Helps Each Other
One of the best things about a programming community is being able to ask someone for help when you’re stuck.
I’d like to encourage people who have been around for a while to help newer developers, while also giving newer developers a chance to contribute their own ideas.
Why Me?
I’m already involved in leading a coding club, so I know that being a leader isn’t just about having ideas and telling people what to do.
It means keeping things organized, listening to other people, working with a team, and actually following through on things.
Running a club has taught me that sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned—and that’s okay. You have to be able to adapt, solve problems, and keep everyone moving forward.
That’s experience I’d bring to the MakeCode Arcade community. I know what it’s like to organize projects, work with other people, and take responsibility when something needs to get done.
I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I think I can listen, organize, build, and help make things happen.
Fortunately, I’ve also learned how to keep a group from becoming a Null Pointer Exception.

I’ll put campaign updates, projects, and other announcements here as the campaign goes on.
There’s probably going to be some interesting stuff coming…
