Hello everybody, and welcome (back) to the 2026 edition of the MakeCode Arcade Presidential Election.
This time, we will actually have a new president! Who? Time will tell. In the meantime, I would like to lay down some ground rules.
Use the poll below if you want to audition to be elected as the new president, the poll will close on the 25th and voting starts on the 28th. The voting stage will last for 2 days (28th-30th). Once the voting is over the person with the most votes will be elected president!
If there happens to be a tie, I would like randomuser to be the tiebreaker.

also, to prevent any confusion, i do feel it’s my duty to mention that makecode arcade president is 100% just something the community does and has no actual authority/power over makecode or any affiliation with the makecode team or microsoft in any way. it’s just for fun!
I would like to add that @randomuser established that the president should work work to better the community or do community projects. Not a rule but definitely a guideline.
Third election we are holding and third time I’m running .
For long I’ve wanted to have the presidency because with the attention that comes with it I’d want to get many more users to join by created new tutorials for individual aspects of game development. Maybe a skill map of sorts or two.
I also want to make a lot more teachers resources and try to make it easier to bring to the classroom.
I could probably also make tutorials for user made extensions and help push those so that we have EVEN MORE creativity here!
Lastly I want to use the position to expand upon the office a bit and create more positions for more specific responsibilities.
Anyway those are my plans. I will probably make another actual speech later.
Ladies and gentlemen, and everyone in between, I may be a newer fellow, but I have much to offer to this cozy community! I may not have the intellect of WoofWoof, the cheerfulness of Randomuser, nor the power and influence of the one and only Richard, but I do have one thing: motivation. I am motivated to bring to these here forums to new heights of unity and quality. I am motivated to be the best president I can be! And I promise you all, I shall not leave anyone behind. If I win as president, not only will I hold one of the greatest honors there is to be had on these forums, I will additionally bring even more pristine, quality games to your screen, ready to play at your fingertips. I have, and will continue to, create nothing but content of the upmost quality.
As a presidential candidate, I must ask: what is the real purpose of these forums? The boring answer would be “to share games and code, and get feedback”. But I think… there’s something more. You see, using these forums… it brings us together, as a community. There are few communities as friendly and as grounded as us, and that cohesion is a factor I wish to dearly keep and uphold were I to gain this prestigious position. A small community such as ours, one that I am eternally grateful to have been a part of, is far more personal than any gigantic group, far more sound.
I am not suggesting I am the best candidate. In fact, I am far from it. It would be entirely reasonable to prefer one of the other remarkable candidates for another reason. But I am here, and I am determined, as should you.
