Letting CK4 become an anyone-can-join thing is going to be a huge problem. For one… It’s going to take me WAY, WAY too long to keep track of every single submission in CK4, shoving every contestant and their corresponding submission into a single public poll, along with judging each and every one of them. I’m already worried about trying to do this all with ONLY 15 contestants, where I am forced to make 2 separate identical posts just to get a message around (pretty sure someone is going to complain about me pinging everyone too often, similarly to CK2). Plus, if I plan on @ing everyone (to make sure no one gets forgetting or left out for their efforts) who submits in the results, I’d have to make at least 10 separate posts to do it, considering how many people have been asking me to let them in the comp.
Plus, letting everyone just join the qualifiers feels wrong in every single way, CK acts like competitions such as the Olympics or ANW, I don’t just let anyone who applies into the competition (learned that the hard way in CK2), otherwise, chaos happens (like what I said in the first paragraph). You find the best of the best, let them join, and then slowly thin it down from the qualifiers, all the way to the grand finale.

just don’t ping everyone all the time maybe some ppl once you get to starting and ending the qualifiers but you don’t have to ping EVERYONE and make multiple posts

I think you have a good mix of contestants, it’s good to have some newer/less experienced users as well as more well known ones.

Hmm. I see that. Maybe just ditch @ing everyone and make it the responsibility of anyone who competes to turn on watching? Plus that would thin out anyone who rarely checks the forums or doesn’t read posts.
Oh, and instead of judging the qualification round, we could just do a community poll! No way you would be juding 25+ games by yourself XD
