Color-coded Tilemap and normal Tilemap?

Is there a way to use both the color-coded and the normal tilemap?

I’m trying to make a game where the enemies are placed in certain colored locations on the tilemap, but I want to be able to use more detailed tiles instead of having to limit myself to one tile per color (16 maximum tiles, less for enemy locations).

You can’t use both at the same time, but you can place enemies/objects on specific locations using the normal tilemap! Essentially, you create a custom tile for your enemy, loop over each one, and manually place the sprite on top. Then you can replace the tile with another one to hide it:
