I was making a game and all the tiles got deleted. Again lots of errors in the javascript console, but this is the second time I have lost a whole bunch of work today. And I can’t even make assets again!!!
Hey @BotWarrior, can you tell me what you were doing when this happened? This issue has proved challenging to reproduce.
I had just imported the textsprite extension and I went into assets to change one of my colours. This is not the javascript console from when the error happened, I got it from later going into the game. When I even click on the link and click edit, the actual editor is very broken. You can check for yourself, when you go and edit the game, try to go into one of the tile maps in the overworld block. You won’t be able to open it, and if you click a few times on it, it will get stuck on your mouse.
Because I was taking a screenshot it wasn’t on my cursor but then jumped to the cursor position. I then go to the assets tab to try and get the block off my cursor. When I go back, I can’t click and drag to move. I have to use the side bar to go down. My cursor when I hover over the toolbox, it shows the trash bin icon but doesn’t do anything. I am now in a state where I literally can’t edit my game. I can’t even move my vision by clicking and dragging. I am very sorry for the word wall, but I really want to help troubleshoot these issues.
ACTUALLY I HAVE BIGGER PROBLEMS NOW!!! THIS IS THE SAME FOR ALL GAMES I CAN’T EDIT ANY OF THEM!!! I NEED HELP MODS!
Word walls are fine! We appreciate any information you have to offer. It’s possible the project has suffered data loss and corruption, and so reopening it might cause issues. If you reload the page are you able to open a different project of yours?
All my projects are broken now
Ugh, that’s terrible. I’m so sorry. Can you try logging into Arcade on a different machine to see if any of your projects are loadable there?
Separately, are you able to create a new project at all?
I created a new project and… went into an old one and that one worked. Still weird and I don’t trust that it will stay like that. Maybe creating a new one reset some setting that was glitching? Idk but it was definitely correlated with opening a new one. I then tried going back into the bad project and it did the same thing again, which was fixed by making another new project.
Yeah, this happens a lot.
Just share your game up to the forum or keep a game link somewhere, that way you can go back to where the link left off when you get this bug again.
