Final Announcement
The Diego The Spheroid: Illusions game has been in development for about 3 years and has been in a state of development hell ever since. It’s a directionless mess that was drawn out for far too long, so now I’m being merciful to myself and the game and killing it. Diego the Spheroid Illusions will not be releasing for MakeCode Arcade anytime in the future and will not house any public builds. I could change my mind later, but don’t ask about it at the moment. Now, why is this game really being canceled? Let’s jump in:
Contents of the game
As the creator of the game and a rookie developer, I’m still making massive choices in the way I create, develop, and publish my games. No matter what you may say about the dedication or quality of the product, each one is made with a certain amount of ambition that pushes forward my game development skills. Diego the Spheroid Illusions never was and will never be that. In the years of working on this game, I’ve improved so vastly that Diego the Spheroid Illusions has become an incompetent game, which would require months of redesigning, time better spent elsewhere.
Diego Illusions is a mistake and a learning point
No matter how frustrated you may be for being dragged along for months that this game would finally release, it’s clear as the creator that this game’s publication was a mistake. It was revealed far too early with no true direction and was restarted multiple times after it was first revealed, after realizing I had stolen artistic ideas from a game Luke had made long ago. This game is a mistake, and really that’s what I’m sorry for, because there’s no other reason why this game should have been canceled other than poor decisions in the lead-up to the reveal.
This is not Diego
The Diego character has existed years before this platform and in parallel to the forums on separate platforms that will obviously not be disclosed for obvious reasons. To be blunt and honest, I do not like this version of Diego. Diego lore is important to me, as Diego is a comic first, then a game (at least I see it as that now), and my lazy choices in game development and overall story decisions not only don’t live up to my standards but are also boring and dry with little character. It disgusts me every time I see a Diego Illusions-era graphic, and for the record, it’s not just a problem project, as I still think games like Diego Fate are good and worth revisiting. Not this one, though.
I’m taking a MakeCode forum break for the literal rest of the year because, for multiple reasons at this point, I need to leave. Have a great November and Halloween. Sorry for dragging you along with this game’s development for years on end and wasting your time. It just seems to be that way sometimes, and to all, I wish you a great life or whatever. Later

Oh, and @moderators, can you, like, close this, although I guess I’ll probably eventually delete it anyway. Thanks.
