DOOM in Makecode! (WIP)

Really excited that you guys are doing this. I feel like we are rediscovering the infancies of 3d gaming development like back in the nineties all anew.

I am also currently working on a doom like clon. Based off lodevs code.

Features:

  • huuuuuge map (i did not even manage to complete designing the map yet, maybe you can help me)
  • high walls and normal walls for greater variety in level design
  • improved the 16 color problem by a carefully crafted 16 color double-gradient
  • distance fog adding to atmosphere
  • enemies (works, but no movement and some rendering problems still)
  • runs decently on gamego due to performance optimisations

Working on next:

  • multiple enemy types
  • positioning enemies on a map instead of in javascript code
  • better getting-shot and health points system
  • better shooting at enemies system
  • enemies coming at you
