I am currently working on a little project and trying to make a very basic form of the original DOOM in Makecode. Warning, this is DOOM, I don’t think I need to explain too much on why this is violent.
A bit of an update, I managed to fit in 4 different weapons complete with animations. Now, all I had to do was make the weapons swappable. Easy right? Well, not as much. Took about an hour, but its coming along quite nicely.
One thing to mention is that if anyone wants to help work on this remake of DOOM in Makecode, feel free to add anything! I plan on just remaking it, not porting it. Thats only because I feel its 100% possible.
Also, I highly recommend messing around with @AqeeAqee’s Raycasting Plugin. That plugin is the only reason this project is even possible, and its super simple.
Bit of a delay is coming up, as I’m going on vacation for a little over a week. Along with this, I’m mostly just trying to finish the sprites & whatnot, while also working on a MakeCode version of Windows XP. Right now, it’ll be a few weeks till another iteration is out, but once it is there’ll be a few enemies, armor, and more interesting stuff like that!
