Review: 6/10
Core was quite enjoyable.
Scrolling and animations were great. In fact the whole thing was great. The only problem was that i could not progress. It might just be me, but i could not progress, which brings it down quite a bit.
Do you know that the people are shops? You can buy upgrades from them. And once you kill all the enemies overlapping with the core will send you to the shops then from there you can get to the next level. Where were you stuck? I need to know how to fix it.
Unfortunantly, its just not an enjoyable game.
The art is EXTREMELY basic, only showing black and white, even though there is a whole spectrum of colors to choose from.
Sprites are just squares, and you cant tell what are walls and what are not because the tilemap design is super simple, yet confusing. I could not progress at all after 20 mins of walking in a circle touching every wall.
The reason its not a 1/10 is because it works.
This game needs some major improvments.
If you update this game, i will rereview it, but for the moment, its quite bad.

Basketball platformer: Brilliant idea, Excellent execution.
The level design is great, i love the idea of the basketball always bouncing.
The checkpoints always work and when i die, it feels fair.
Reason for basic art, its a demo and making a stanley sprite, 2 problems 1, size: if i made a complexer one i need him to be as small as a half tile 2, art: the makecode palette doesn’t have what I’m looking for, but that was a demo expect to see more on August 10th.
Well the goal is to kill all the enemy’s that come from both sides and once you kill all the enemy’s you overlap with the green core and this takes you to the shop phase and you use down arrow to open the shops in the menu screen. The main goal is to kill all enemies and overlap with the green core. The blue ones are for getting to the other side of the map easier. Keybinds ↑, key: W or up arrow. Jumps. You can triple jump. Cool!
↓, key: S or down arrow. Talk to people in your base. Allows you to buy stuff from them. In battle it reloads if necessary (Don’t spam it). You also reload automatically
→, key: D or right arrow. Moves left in battle.
←, key: A or left arrow. Moves right in battle.
A, key:Space or (If you are weird) Q. Shoot your shotgun or select a shop option.
Menu, key: ` Save your game when you are in your base.
If your still having problems tell me in specific. Thanks!
Can you review Robot Survival? There is a newer vers if you scroll down. Also don’t forget to read the controls (scroll down on game menu)
my first big game so no nice art unfortunately
I will do a full review, but i remember playing this game. It was the first game i ever played do do with Makecode.
I remember being blown away by the art and the gameplay, so if it is as good as i remember, this will at least be a 9
Its as good as I remember.
For a first game, this is absolute fire (as the kids would say these days, but I’m only 15, what do i know?)
Gameplay is brilliant, Character selection and dificulty selection make the game feel fair and cater to your needs, and the sound effects are the best I’ve heard in a long time.
This game is what brought me onto the forums, and still blows me away to this date. I genuenly LOVE this game, and it shows why you are such a crucial member on the forum.
Thank you for reminding me of this game, and it will be one i come back to year after year.
13 year old me was right, this game was close to perfection…
