TOO MUCH STUFF! ill try and describe every notable thing I added in this update to a minimum so you dont spend like 2 hour reading everything. I will also be dividing them in sections and ordering by early in game you can see them. (ill also put spoilers on story things in case youre one of the like 5% of people who actually care about those)

:artist_palette: :musical_note: ART/MUSIC

  • Small title art changes (literally a few pixels)
  • Very small changes in the first cutscene (again, a few pixels)
  • Small player running animation changes
  • Art icons in the STATS MENU
  • Small player battle animation changes
  • Slash effect whenever you land an attack
  • Counter animation (inspired by Ultrakills parry!)

:video_game: GAMEPLAY

  • Controls screen when you load up the game for the first time
  • Dash + Double jump instructions
  • Damage formula changes
  • NEW DODGING MECHANIC!
  • Added HEALING HEARTS scattered through all the maps! (once you progress, the heart in said map will NEVER RESPAWN)
  • NEW AREA: BLANKSCAPE MOUNTAINS!
  • Bounce orbs! (Found in Blankscape Mountains)
  • Falling objects! (Found in Blankscape Mountains) (Bloks have a silly reaction upon hitting one lol)

:gear: BUG FIXES/TWEAKS

  • Very small physics tweaks
  • Small tilemap layout changes
  • Volume start change (150 starting → 250 starting)
  • Fixed the SHOW FPS not saving bug
  • First enemy stat changes
  • EXP formula change
  • Level up stat changes
  • Level up EXP CAP has been increased
  • Critical Slash buff: (1.7x Crit chance → 2.5x Crit chance)
  • Critical Hit buff: (1.5x damage → 1.7x damage)
  • Counter buff: (2x damage → 2.5x damage) (raises your attack by 1.2x)
  • Blok attack pattern changes
  • Schmover attack pattern changes
  • Overworld enemy collision detection changes
  • Fixed the bug when you win a battle and respawn in the air
  • More text dialogue whenever you win a battle
  • Fixed the bug where you can enter a battle with the options menu open

(jeez all this and i know for a FACT that im probably missing some things :melting_face:)

I literally spent 30 minutes trying to do some of the parkour then I learned you can walljump :sob:

what? im genuinly confused right now. maybe I did my double jump on the wall, but I never actually got enough height to clear it until I did the supposed “wall jump”. or maybe I dashed into the jump orb

irrelevant little fun fact

I originally wanted Gena to only have GREATSWORDS as available weapons, but then i thought i should at least add some sort of variety.

…also i MIGHT add guns-

  • New Enemy: Boing!
  • Power attack NERF: (Miss chance: 10% → Miss Chance: 15%)
  • Heart (Now Half-Heart) tweaks:

(Instant Full HP tile that will not spawn if you have passed the tilemap of its origin → An item you can collect from its tile, Restores HALF of your max HP, Will not spawn if you have passed the tilemap of its origin OR have a Half-Heart in your inventory already)

  • Fixed the dodging bug causing the RIGHT SIDE indicators to spawn closer to the center than the left, giving you less time to react
  • Tilemap changes
  • Level up EXP cap increase
  • A few more guide arrows
  • Slightly larger text box
  • Small Enemy stat changes
  • Small art changes

Developer Note: This was a lot easier of an update to make than I thought it would be! I will be taking a break since finals start VERY SOON where im at (seniors have already taken their finals and are GRADUATING this week)
