Google sign-in silently redirects to home page (MakeCode micro:bit)

I’m unable to sign in to MakeCode micro:bit using my Google account. When I click “Sign in” and complete the Google login flow, I’m redirected back to the home page with no error message, and I remain signed out.

Login method: Google (personal Gmail account, @gmail.com)
Product: MakeCode micro:bit
Symptom: Silent redirect to home page after Google auth completes — no error dialog, no warning screen, just not signed in.

Troubleshooting already tried (no success with any of these):

  • Tried multiple browsers on desktop (Windows/Mac)
  • Tried on mobile device using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi
  • Checked Google Account’s third-party app permissions (myaccount.google.com/permissions) and removed/re-granted access for MakeCode
  • Tried signing in with a different Google account

Hi Gastub123, sorry that you ran into this issue and thank you for posting about it. This is something that came to our attention earlier this morning that has now been fixed.
